Jeff thank you for sharing that projection of Texas’s QE making the roster. He didn’t play his best against Chicago. hopefully he will do a better job the second preseason game. Back to our present Longhorns. I can hardly wait for August 30th. I know it’s going to be young Arch’s first game as QB1 but his patience & talent has earned him that spot. we all face adversity & Arch probably will at times but i have no doubt it won’t bother him & the sky is the limit for a young man with his talent & football 🏈 skills. were lucky to have HC Sark & his entire staff & have QB1 Arch Manning & his Texas Longhorn players. also i’m excited about AP picking Texas#1 for the very first time. “ HOOKEM “

I've wondered why Caldwell wasn't given 19, last worn by Cole Lourd. 19 currently is Bouwmeester (ST) and Zina Umeozulu (Def) There was room for an offensive player, same as 15 with Owens, Stone, and Terry.

For 30+ years in corporate public affairs I attended many dinners and awards banquets. At the end of my career I was like Kiffin. I often went and showed up to sign in and be seen and left early. Don't know about Lane, but I became unable to endure foolish folks. The ONE I loved and will always remember was circa 1980 at the SWAC Annual Awards Dinner in Jackson MS. The most outstanding award went to a WR from Miss Valley State in Itta Bena MS. A kid by the name of Jerry Rice. My employer funded the season highlight film for the SWAC and sent me to present it. At the head table I was seated next to the legendary Gambling HC Robinson. At the time I thought Jerry Rice was too skinny to make it in the NFL... showed what I knew!

My "Hopes" aren't up for anything big on the Michigan penalties. That's unless the reconstituted NCAA enforcement wants to make a statement. If the penalties are light...I don't expect anything on the Mateer case. Otoh, if they want to establish a new Sheriff in town mentality... wagering while you are a student athlete is serious.

If only the massive egos could have been managed... likely two more SBs. It's sad for me these days because I remember my late father taking me to see the Cowboys play the Browns in the Cotton Bowl Stadium in the early 1960s. Bob Lilly and Jim Brown threw fists late in the game. As a high school senior I saved and worked so I could go to NOLA for SBVI over the Dolphins 24-3 the year before Miami went undefeated. I walked away from Jerry's Boyz when they lost at home to the Packers and their rookie QB. Haven't watched since and frankly, my dear... At least I got to see two great eras of the team. When ownership and management are the same it rarely if ever works.

Great show this morning! Mr. Will Matthews had some incredible words regarding the team and Arch buying in to his process "I'm gonna sit in this oven and cook." Speaking from his own experiences (winning a natty). He went on to say he thinks Arch is "going to cause the other players to gel in a way that they've never seen before." You couldn't ask for a better source if you're wanting to know the heartbeat of the team/locker room. Gave me a bit of the chills listening to Will Matthews this morning!!! STOKED FOR THIS SEASON!!!! I honestly don’t want to watch it. As a cowboys fan the more attention you give Jerry Jones and his BS, the more he will continue his terrible strategy of running the team. He doesn’t care about winning. I wish cowboy fans would stop going to games and buying apparel.
