OTF Premium Thoughts on the ugly loss

Number 8 was known before the OU game. Texas is not winning a national championship and this is year six. Also add the money spent for this team. -

Jeff Banks: How many fake punts have we given up in the last couple years? How many blocked punts? How many illegal formations on punt? Sark: why do we not get more Cooper and Bishop? Royal is watching buddy. Arch Manning: Elite 15% of the time and very below average and looks lost the other 85% of the time. Are we gonna stick with this all year? And his seat should not be guaranteed next year if he wants to come back. If his name was Arch Ewers we all know he’d be kicked to the curb just like Quinn was. Unreal. Sark’s Muschamp hire was the right move, but she shortened his own leash, drastically, what’s the next excuse Sark? -

Because of his and sarks relationship, I think the only option is a disinformation campaign. -

Finally the truth. You can’t fix the poor decisions with a different OC. The problem wasn’t the play calls or the OL. It is 100% on ARCH. -

The same reason Flood is still employed. And Nansen. They’re sarks buddies. -

Why in the world is Jeff Banks still employed? We are always ill prepared in that phase of the game. It is beyond frustrating. -

The reality of Texas under Sark: We can beat anyone We can lose to anyone We'll very rarely score more than 24+ against a good team (legitimate top 15 team) For us to be a playoff team we need an elite defense We will mostly be the most penalized and give up the most turnovers Our special teams will either be a net negative or neutral vs our opponents (a good field goal kicker or a great punt returner doesn't hide all defects) Our run game will look good for a period of time and then we will completely abandon it for an entire quarter while we go three and out three times in a row apart from a second and 12. We'll have better offensive NFL prospects than our opponents defense prospects and vis versa I love Sark as our head coach but I think he is vastly overated as our OC. I want someone to please provide me with statistics that show I am wrong. I don't want to believe this but I watch everyday and I just see it far too often. I agree that he can scheme up a few plays that show up on tick tock where ESPN will laud him for his play development. In times where we need to run the clock out, we will continually snap the ball with 15 plus seconds on the play clock Sorry, I just need to get these thoughts out as I have had them for 3 plus years. Just can't hold it back any longer after this game. My dad just got diagnosed with ALS and he and I watched our first OU game in decades. I will never watch this game again for the rest of my life. To listen to all of the pundits say that the only way we can lose this game is if a meteor struck the Earth and to watch it unfold is honestly an embarrassment. I love Texas football and will support it no matter what but this loss was just too much. I honestly don't think I can watch another game this season. Each game is an unnecessary heart attack that doesn't need to happen. But what I've learned mostly under sark is that each game you better have your defibrillator ready to go. Can't do it anymore

I’m not much of a doom and gloom fan, not really been one to blame the coaches but this one feels like we don’t have a future with Sark as a play caller. It’s very black and white to me. I think Sark’s jumbled up mess of a style has been detrimental to Arch’s development. -

This team isn’t going to the playoffs the way they’re playing on offense. This will be two championship caliber defenses Sark will have pissed away due to inept offense and lack of QB development. -
I'm leaning toward this being the worst loss. There were no stakes when Texas lost to Kansas and we knew that was a bad team. Florida had talent and it was on the road. Sark had a chance to kick Venables while he was down and instead he let him off the mat. That makes 12 wins for Oklahoma in the last 19 games in the series.

Banks and flood should be left on the tarmac. Connor should not be out starting center. Just a pathetic performance. This is as bad as the Kansas loss to me absolutely pathetic and sark legit said he won’t give up play calling and won’t fire banks. This was the year for sark to get it right and he failed at it. Hope CDC and the brass tell him to hire a OC and give up play calling and if he doesn’t give it up see ya later sark this is all on sark and he refuses to change Mr adapt or die and yet sark won’t adapt we have a championship level defense and our special team and offense is absolutely pathetic -

This is on Sark. His play calling tells the story, he was playing not to lose. You cannot spend this much money on offensive players to be totally inept. Arch ain't it, I hope he plays better just so he can go to the league...Last thing we need is another year of him at qb and Sark calling plays. -
Alrighty then. Too each their own I guess. Just a game, but good look to you all if this emotionslly impacted your lives this bad from such a horrible event. I need to go reevaluate things I guess. It sucked snd definitely not okay with that outcome. But damn, I thought I knew what "loss" was, but maybe I'm incorrect. Seems tiring tho.
