Thoughts on the Texas offense tonight
Tuco Ramirez replied to Gerry Hamilton's topic in On Texas Football Forum
Sark needs some open and honest introspection to determine what is and is not working. Then he has to be willing to make uncomfortable decisions. -
There’s a huge difference between benching him permanently and sitting him for a few series to settle him down. Just like Sark did with Quinn. It’s a ridiculous double standard for Manning and it’s causing our team to struggle in games that should be much less competitive.

The OL, roster construction and execution up front are also Sarks responsibility. Flood is going to be the scapegoat? It’s deeper than that as Gerry has continued to say. There’s an elephant in the room folks don’t want to face. It’s coming though. -

Sark needs to move on to the NFL if there's anybody willing to take him so that both parties can save face before things get too bad. He is clearly unable to juggle the demands of being a father with a newborn, a P5 head coach, and a P5 OC. It seemed like he was locked in, focused, and hungry with the divorce announcement and his weight loss only to make a 180 last year. It's simply not working. Absolutely had to be asleep at the wheel this spring seeing this OL and QB in practice. It's really completely broken. -

Ryan Niblett is how you win a game while only getting 8 first downs. Niblett is the MVP of tonight's game. -

Your anger needs to be directed to the $10M man that is likely getting fired in two years, unless he changes almost everything with his side of the ball in the offseason. -

Arch hits a few of the open passes he whiffed on and it may have looked better. When we get this version of Arch I don’t know why defenses would send less than 10 guys every play. Nothing to keep them honest. -

Notice how Ohio State's program is one the verge of back to back natties once Ryan Day gave up playcalling to Kelly and now Hartline? -

That answer doesn't cut it. Because when the game is in doubt, pitch counts go out the window. -

I saw alot of times though that there were wide open recievers and one either arch didnt hit them or 2 our oline couldn't give arch time to make the throw. -

Sark the HC is fine, but Sark the offensive playcaller has gotta go. Hire a real OC to call plays. Kyle Flood is OC by title only to justify his pay. -

The issues with this team are obvious, no rhythm, no identity, no adjustments, and it all points right back to Sark. It’s year five, and he’s still calling plays like a coordinator instead of managing the game like a head coach. The offense is predictable, the team looks flat, and there’s zero accountability. At some point, you’ve got to stop clinging to the play sheet and start leading the program. Everything wrong with this team reflects that.
