It may be hard for some of us to remember what it was like to be 20 years old. Sometimes the coaches approach different players in different ways. Will be interesting to see how TyAnthony responds in the next few days. I wouldn’t jump to conclusions on this one. I also don’t think we are as thin at LB as people seem to think. I think (may be wrong) Muschamp’s scheme is more of a 3-4 or 3-3-5 than the 4-2-5 we ran under PK and Simmons is a LB instead of an edge in the scheme. The 3 linemen are Giffard, Kanu January or Jackson. If that is the scheme, then there are only two LB spots up for grabs to start. And if Cryer is beating out TyAnthony, maybe TyAnthony needs to figure out where he fits and work towards that. If Spence is one of the other LBs playing time will be thn for a coverage LB whose will probably be subbed for a big nickel instead.

The Oklahoma Sooners' running back room is thin due to multiple players managing injuries. Colorado State transfer Lloyd Avant is currently leading the first-team running back drills. Tory Blaylock and Johnathan Hatton (both were recruited by Texas) have been held out. Xavier Robinson and Andy Bass (ACL) slowly work their ways back.

These guys are getting paid a lot of money now so if it’s not an injury he needs to get with it. I am hoping he’s not pouting because cryer is starting over him so far in camp.

Feels like half the board already wrote the kid’s transfer announcement and the other half is diagnosing his mental state from a couple missed practices. We don’t even know if he’s suiting up today yet. If he’s out there, this whole thread becomes “remember when we panicked for no reason.” If he’s not, then we’ll actually have something real to talk about. Until then, maybe chill on the fan‑fiction storylines.

You would think if it is play time/role related today would be the day to be out there to prove himself. So I’m optimistic it’s for a different reason

I was thinking the same thing. Dude doesn’t like the competition, if you want to start be the best.

Probably wanted to be a shoe in started and doesn’t appreciate the competition from Cryer. He (probably) believes he should be among the leaders of the defense with Simmons and Jelani.

Do you know what the non-injury reason is or waiting to disclose at a later time? Seems that would clear up a lot.

Can’t understand how it would be remotely beneficial for either side to let this go sideways. Hoping he just needed to reset and shows back up to battle.
