East Texas girl. Won some Grammy’s in country western categories. Not a Nashville sellout and each album different as she explores different interest. Worth a listen IMO.

When did college basketball hit its peak for you?
Paul Jespersen replied to Jeff Howe's topic in On Texas Football Forum
I grew up on Phi Slamma Jamma over their ~3 year run, attended, watched, listened to pretty much every game those years, even catching some Fonde games, and was pretty captivated by college ball in general for about a 5 year widow there when the UNC's and Georgetowns and Louisvilles. Tapered off for me after that, and then pretty much died in terms of avidly tracking the sport as a whole once we started getting into the 1 and done and teams stopped having persisting identities... hoping that's not what we end up with in football now, but its trending that way to point I barely follow it during the season anymore other than supporting Texas no matter what and will follow the occasional supernova players, but the sport as a whole I just don't have time for. I also used to play, but post achilles, just lost the passion (and ability) so that didn't help either. 🤘 -
@Gerry Hamilton @Bobby Burton @CJ Vogel @Hank South @Jeff Howe Am I the only one who thinks this ankle does not look very normal? I know he had surgery but that was at least 2 months ago and this type of swelling does not look normal.

When did college basketball hit its peak for you?

I'm not sure to be honest but it's been over 10 years since I regularly watched college basketball games that don't include UT. Truly don't care about the sport as a general fan, though I have season tickets for the horns. Still glued to the TV all day on Saturdays during football season. For a long time the college basketball product was just awful. I think it's actually gotten better in the portal era, but UT has only been good for one year of that and that has stymied my interest. -

I was on the same Junior High team as Ray Jackson. Everybody knew they were out of time outs. -
Maybe they can implant some new ones. A few ladies have threatened to do the job for me. Typically when I forget to pick up something on a list.

The John Wooden years were the best. I am old. I met him in Las Vegas and actually sat with him while he waited for his ride. Forever gracious. His ride was Dale Brown of LSU who coached Shaq. That was a great afternoon. -
I don't think so, I wouldn't have much to fondle if they were gone. 😆

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7101958/2026/03/12/college-football-coach-rankings-stewart-mandel-2026/ Stewart Mandel and Bruce Feldman each came out with their Top 25 Coaches List for 2026. I'm a sucker for these Top25 lists, love the debate and seeing what others think. Stewart Mandel has Sark at #6. Probably about right; although, I'd take Sark over a few others in the Top 5. Thought it funny to see Bruce Feldman drop Sark down to #13, laughable to see names like Dabo Swinney, Kyle Whittingham, Mike Elko, Matt Campbell, Jeff Brohm all ranked ahead of Sark on Feldman's list, wtf? Two semi-final playoff appearances in past 3 years. 3 year aggregate record of 35-8 and finished the last 3 seasons ranked #3, #3 and #13. Pretty solid when our off year finishes at 10-3 and #13. Will be funny to see how much Sark 'rebounds' in the theoretical coach rankings after this season. What matters more than anything is that we've got a rockstar coach with a brilliant offensive mind, strong culture, great front-office, huge upgrade in defensive leadership and overall top to bottom coaching staff with high stability and consistency that is extremely rare. Love and appreciate what Sark has brought to the 40 acres, going into year 6. Much to be grateful for as we prepare for our run to the playoffs and potential national championship this season. Love the team Sark has put together and his upgrades on the coaching staff. FWIW, my Top 10 Best Coaches Currently would be..... Curious how others would rank their Top 10. 1. Kirby Smart 2. Curt Cignetti 3. Ryan Day 4. Steve Sarkisian 5. Dan Lanning 6. Marcus Freeman 7. Kalen DeBoer 8. Lane Kiffin 9. Matt Campbell 10. Mario Cristobal Hook em!!! 🤘🏽🧡🐂

Yeah and knowing my wife, she'd also figure out a way to spend the 2.7 mil, but she might complain less.
