  1. Past hour
  2. Give it to them, they deserve to lay in the bed they made.
  3. Did a Texan just say morality is defined by the government?
  4. The point is right and wrong, not legality. Tech did nothing illegal, Sorbsy did. That, however, doesn’t mean they are doing the right thing by challenging the NCAA ruling. And most believe that their actions, while legal, are wrong.
  5. You are living in a conference with those with a history of wrong doing, no?
  6. lol, Hitler, Stalin, Mao and every other desperate that ever killed 1 million people or more said the exact same thing. I prefer order and courtrooms. As I said, I believe in our court system it usually gets it right. I still think the eventual outcome will be that Texas Tech will have to vacate any wins and their season will be ruined.
  7. Texas will use most of its NIL for retention and smaller amount on portal. Texas some great incoming freshman.
  8. Someone with a clear understanding of right and wrong doesn’t need a courtroom
  9. This is an absurd take. Horns up and gambling on your own team are not remotely close to being the same thing. Also, illegal has nothing to do with it. Gambling on your own team is morally reprehensible. This is why all leagues have rules against it. Tech supporting this behavior is entirely self serving especially when they voted to strengthen gambling restrictions just six months ago. It’s not illegal but Sorsby and now tech are directly violating the most sacrosanct rule in sports. There should be consequences.
  10. Sorsby was also underage when betting as Indiana and Cincinnati which illegal.
  11. ? Gambling on your team or against your team is not allowed by the NCAA or any other league as far as I know. That makes it illegal if you compete in that league. He breached his NCAA contract. I am not aware of any sports league that would allow such behavior. This is NOT an issue of preference! Tech has made a mockery out of the NCAA which ultimately means they have disrespected everyone that competes in the NCAA sports arena from D1 through D3. By the way, this has nothing to do with NIL! And, I am not sure your favorite schools hand signal is even in the same conversation. Hookem, I've got a serious issue with your response.
  12. A player from an out of state opponent needs to sue for an injunction (in the County of home team) because Sorsby or friends bet on the game to be played that hurt possible draft status. Play the victim like Sorsby defense attorney.
  13. I'm confused, didn't Finebaum say in an interview that a few game suspension would be the correct call?
  14. Today
  15. I don’t see it as an “emotional argument” to say it’s not ever ok for athletes to bet on their own sport, much less their own team. This used to be something everyone could agree on. Insane that’s not the case anymore. College players can now bet on their own team & sport with negligible consequences. If Arch got caught doing this I’d be so disgusted if CDC & Sarkisian acted like ttu is.
  16. Tech thinks this is funny & enjoying be labeled the bad guy. I think they might not like what is coming. That’s what I just heard.
  17. You know we haven’t always looked great this season, but Schloss is one of the best in the business. He knows how to get teams to Omaha. He’s going to win it at some point and I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t win several during his time at Texas. This is what he was hired for.
  18. Compliance checks??? Dude went through friends and family to place bets. What f...... farce
  19. They wouldn’t be standing up for him if there was a May portal window.
  20. Lol. Would tech stand by him if this was pre NIL and they didn’t have millions tied up in him??
  21. It's an easy fix. Rule any game he participates in as a forfeit. The Big 12 could step up right now and actually do something for the good of their conference and football. Of course, I really think it's hilarious that a mid QB is seen as the savior of Tech. He was 12-12 as a starter at Cincinatti.
