....as you know, I am a huge fan of women's hoops. I have been watching the SEC tourney and no team plays defense like Texas. No one! That is what separates us from the pack. Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Texas have the best guard play. There are great players everywhere. We play tomorrow. Hook'em!

Like I said, their lack of offensive production against nobodies (no offense to those teams) is a concern. With the talent they have, it shouldn’t be that way.

Paulie, I think Cojoe was robbed of a year in which he would have shown that marked improvement. As Bobby has pointed out, he was ahead of Baker at RT when he was injured. Were he to have fully recovered, do you [or Jeff] think he has a shot at "marked improvement"? It certainly would be a boon to the OL were he to come back strong.

Imo the ideal path to a national championship for this team is winning the SEC tournament. If the projected bracket remains mostly intact, Texas could jump South Carolina for the 3 seed. Win R64 and R32 in the Moody. Go to Fort Worth for their regional S16 and E8 games. If they win those four, assuming no upsets, they would get UCLA in the F4 instead of UConn or South Carolina. Let UConn and South Carolina beat each other up in the F4. I think Texas is a bad matchup for UCLA and Texas could beat them in a rematch to play for a national title. Would be a 50-50 game between Texas and the UConn/South Carolina winner. -

Although Bradley was a terrific athlete, I remember reading that Royal said he was predetermining whether he would keep the ball or pitch it. Street was reading what the defense was giving him. It made the wishbone way more effective. I also think Street to Peschel was as iconic at Vince running it in on 4th and 5 in the Rose Bowl. -

Bradley was an insanely good athlete. And I used to leave work to watch both Street and Hooton pitch. Hooton had an excellent Major League career. Street, who was the ace, who threw 2 no hitters including a perfect game, never pitched again after he was injured in the CWS. I think James Street was robbed of his career in baseball by that injury; perhaps his son's success was Karma.
