ESPN says he’s out a month. It doesn’t seem like a “tactic.” God bless the young man and hope the surgery is successful. If he has more eligibility it might behoove him to take the rest of the year.

Exactly. This guy put them on the map and had solid teams for years….. hate to see a guy who built a program like he did honor like this. Regardless he won a natty or not, he made them competitive and respectable until NIL changed the game.

He's done. You don't have surgery on your throwing hand and come back in three weeks. This isn't arthroscopic surgery. Criminal has broken bone(s) in his throwing hand. Put pins or whatever. Hope he comes back for our game.

Okie State owes Gundy much more than this. They should have let him finish the season and retire. Without Gundy who knows where they would have been? I doubt they would have had half the success. I would love to see Gundy as an advisor in Austin.
