Jerry K started following Tony Vitello to the Giants?
-
@Blake Munroe heard any news on this? Crazy to even think this could happen but if so it could obviously open up a lot of talented players to the portal. Could the Horns benefit? I'm thinking they are already maxed out on scholarships. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/46641299/tennessee-vitello-favorite-land-giants-job

Two things that may be true about this team

Btw, most teams in the SEC this year are considerably less dominant on the road than at home -

We have not had a full body of conditions to say how the offense will perform in every situation. What other team in the country doesn’t play a P4 team at home until November 1st? We have had one game that people were satisfied with the offense- which just so happened to be the one game we were wearing orange against a P4 team. It’s a possibility. Of course, everyone is really enjoying crapping on the team so it’s not a possibility anyone wants to consider -
Arch sold my 400$ buyout😭, part of the reason why I was so salty about everything Saturday

The projection systems like FPI and SP+ still have us rating fairly highly, and I think Vegas reflects that. But, I don't think this is "we've been better than it looks", it's just that these systems have a ton of preseason input in the form of previous seasons and recruiting rankings. Basically they are saying "Texas can't actually be this bad, right?". Unfortunately I think we just may be..

Caldwell has come in twice and both times been on time with moderate depth passes - you can win with that. And he has good feet.

it amazes me that we can’t find 5 human beings in this country that can block someone in front of them consistently. we can’t find people who can consistently produce big on big blocking and driving people off the ball

What is the contingency plan?
NothinButDaHorns34 replied to drag worm's topic in On Texas Football Forum
So caldwell will magically make this offensive line more competent? I don’t get it and it seems you don’t either. Arch is apart of the problem but not the main one. From bench quinn to bench arch. Crazy how history just repeats itself. -
So you have no clue. Thanks for playing.

i just feel Sark gets off for free on the failures of the offense that are his decisions. i don’t believe any raises or extensions should be discussed in the near future. we have had 2 5 star #1 qb recruits in the nation over the last 4 years and neither has been developed by the guy who is suppose to be a whisperer for this position. other coaches without a qb guru background are developing3 stars at a much better rate to be honest. i truly sark came in saying all gas no breaks in his intro conference and now in year 5 we have still not seen it. at this point it feels like an over compensation.

College coaching carousel 2025: It's going to be wild

It's kinda funny that Napier beat Miss State, got booed and later fired. That's a wild series of events. Be interested to see who the names are being floated around. -
Jeff, great analysis. Pouring a little salt in the wound in the wound might help it heal. This is one of the most inept performance by the entire offense side (yes, GA's you're in there too) with so much talent. DKR recognized what he had at running back & created an offense with Emery Ballard to get them all on the field. Fred Akers switched to the I so that Earl could start 6 yards deep and get full loaded by the time he hit the line. Look at how the offense evolved to fully utilize VY. Right now, I'm not seeing coaches that are putting schemes to maximize the talent we have. OU gave us a hellova blue print. Did someone lose it or are we just too hard headed? Anyway, my $0.02!

Gerry’s talked about it, the problem with Arch is between the ears. Sark really knows the kind of player Arch can be and him knowing that believes that the solution is anything but benching Arch or giving him a smaller role. He’s already in a slump of confidence, the solution is not moving on or putting him aside. He’s gotta work through it and get over it. Whether he does or not I think it will determine his future next season at Texas.

Thoughts on the Texas offense tonight

@Gerry Hamilton, OTF bad cop to @Bobby Burton's good cop, agent provocateur or Aggie? 🤘 -
Do it, let's see that betting ticket @Blake Munroe!

I have no idea and can't follow this logic, but I can't imagine a coherent argument that would put Ryan Day in the same sentence as Saban.
