5-star John Meredith III back in Austin North Crowley 5-star cornerback John Meredith III will be back in Austin Thursday to take in another Texas spring practice. On the docket this trip is face t=to face time with Steve Sarkisian, as well as more time with Will Muschamp and Mark Orphey.

I pray she does well.

Oddly I saw him watching a home football game in one of the boxes last year, so he must be in good graces of the admin despite him being pushed out last year. (and no it's not my box, but a friend has one)

He would be up to shenanigans. Considering New Mexico State is the bitter rival of the UTEP Miners, a team he was already the coach of.

While Hartline was a fantastic recruiter, Ohio State recruited and developed NFL level WRs prior to his stint. The school recruits itself imo. I’m sure @LovingBuckeye can attest to this. I’m interested to see if the recent success of IU’s football program and WR development under Curt Cignetti and Mike Shanahan (along with a boost in NIL) is enough to keep him in state.

Gotta remember Brian Hartline left so they might not have the same level recruiting power. Still gonna be tough to win but without Hartline maybe we have a shot.

I just have a hard time believing he doesn’t land at ohio state with their track record at wide receiver development. Maybe our failed attempt of that late pursuit with chris henry jr has given me nightmares and flashbacks.

Bjorn is a SF. That spot is reserved for a portal SG.

Lee’s replacement will be the portal visitor on campus. Bjorn will get a ton of minutes off the bench next season and then start at the 3 after Book graduates.

Honest opinion, do you think this is real interest? or do you think he was possibly instructed by an agent to at least visit Texas so he may have more leverage in NIL negotiations with other schools?

Stamina yes. But getting your ass handed to you by Leonard Davis then having to tackle Jamaal Charles in open space. And sticking with old guys, I’m not sure there would have been a place for Brandy Perryman on the football field.
