  3. Today is the anniversary of the historic 2003 NBA Draft, which featured TJ Ford going No. 8 overall to the Milwaukee Bucks. A few years ago, I was listening to a Bill Simmons podcast with Chad Ford (ESPN’s draft guy in 2003), who told the following story about how Michael Jordan was in the process of buying the Bucks on draft night in ‘03. Ford said his sources in Milwaukee told him that the Bucks took the player MJ wanted with the eighth pick, which was TJ. MJ didn’t end up buying the team. Still, I think it’s a cool story:
  4. This. There are only 2-3 spreads for Texas games at the moment.
  5. Archie says year one of the camp there were four college quarterbacks. Peyton was one, as a junior at Tennessee. And another out of southwest Louisiana was Jake Delhomme, who is here again this year.
  6. 46 college quarterbacks are here this year
  7. Today
  8. The weird part is Tennessee should've had a good read on this situation given that Jim Knowles just spent an entire year with him. How did he not see these issues.
  9. Here come college free agency physicals. Or, Tennessee can just keep cutting guys who are hurt.
  10. Spoke with a Kentucky personnel guy at the MPA Thursday The person said the staff believes Bo Barnes is going to be an excellent LB for the Wildcats And like Texas, they just love the person CB4 is. They believe he is continuing to improve physically, and will help them a lot this season.
  11. Sad situation indeed. Hope he gets the help he needs. Head injuries are one of the dark sides of this awesome sport unfortunately.
  12. I read that he's apparently been dealing with vertigo that stems from a head injury during his one year at Penn State, in addition to mental health stuff he's been dealing with. Still, a very weird situation. Like, could you imagine if this is what happened to Cam Coleman or any other top Texas transfers? I couldn't
  13. What does medically disqualified mean? Did he not pass his physical?
  14. I never got the hype tbh. Oozes potential but the production doesn’t come close to matching the portal ranking or NIL level.
  15. "Medically disqualified" is definitely not the wording you want to hear.
  16. I cant wait until we finally get to skill position days away
  17. When you don't actually know anything about football, you have to act like this in order to get people to pay attention to you. He'd be better off switching professions
  18. To generate clicks and hate views. It’s exhausting, but it clearly works. He has Texas losing to Ohio State and LSU, and apparently he pulled the same stunt with Georgia in past years and had their fans freaking out. Meanwhile, his co-host Shane has Texas going 12-0.
  19. We're now 71 days away from kickoff and continue our countdown. For No. 71, Leo Brooks is the headliner. He was an All-SWC defensive tackle, part of the 1969 national championship team and later played seven seasons in the NFL, earning a Pro Bowl selection. Chris Hall deserves a lot of love, too, with 45 career games, 37 starts, starts at all five OL spots, All-American honors and a Rimington Trophy finalist nod in 2009. And we’ve got to include Ray Dowdy, who lettered in 1970–71, was part of the 1970 national title team and earned All-SWC honors in 1971. The current No. 71 is offensive tackle Melvin Siani. Who is your favorite?
