Derrek Cooper Update The latest on the freshman running back headed into the day. Cooper was on the field for practice Tuesday, but very limited. The training staff had him doing some light jogging on Tuesday. Cooper is doing everything he can to try and be available for the game Saturday. Cooper's availability for Ohio State remains up in the air. OTF will provide an update later today if there is one.

Conferences were around long before CCGs, so I doubt it. Unless CFB gets some sort of antitrust exemption or there is a collective bargaining agreement, conferences are the only governing body the courts respect.

Agree; it's childish, and a real detriment to College Football. My main concern is that we need a strong governing body to intervene here and set boundaries, and the NCAA is not that animal. Sad.

If they go to 24 teams with no conference championship games, do you think that’s a step toward eliminating conferences as we know them? Perhaps we end up with an nfl-like structure with two large conferences. Another way we get there could be another round of expansion by the SEC & Big 10, essentially cherry picking Notre Dame and a couple of the ACC schools. im not a proponent of this, but I think that’s the direction we are heading.

Talent and coaching, yes, but these guys are hemorrhaging dollars without results.
