  2. Here’s some news and notes I’ve picked up over the weekend regarding multiple sports on the Forty Acres. Football: - I was told yesterday that transfer QB Matthew Caldwell has been better than expected and has turned some heads. Obviously he’s not going to be a starter, but he will provide quality depth at the position. - As @Bobby Burton posted in his Sunday article, Texas could be the favorite for elite Fort Lauderde, Fla. running back Derrek Cooper. I was told yesterday that Miami now is now running a distant second… and that distance continues to grow. The Hurricanes will continue to ‘recruit through the whistle’ when it comes to Cooper, but they believe they have A LOT of ground to make up. — Baseball: - The MLB Draft starts today and I expect two signees to go early: 3B Gavin Fien and SS Kayson Cunningham should hear their name called in the first round. I have reported for months that Cunningham had a 20% chance of landing in Austin. As of today, there is about a 1% chance that either prospect will play at Texas. - Texas OF Max Belyeu should hear his name called today as well, probably in the second round. - I don’t expect any other players or signees to be drafted today. — Women’s Basketball: - Texas will host five-star center Olivia Vukosa in early September. She will also visit Ohio State, LSU, North Carolina, UConn, South Carolina and Kentucky. This is a very competitive recruitment.

  6. We are now 48 days away from when the Longhorns will open the season against the buckeyes in Columbus. Who is your favorite Horn to wear No. 48? options today include… Ty Allert Malcolm Minnick
  7. The team that gets in the end zone scores first 🖕🏼😂
  8. Giving us "Moore/Endries" as an entry? Or are they each at +1300? As an entry that would be difficult to turn down.
  9. That’s fantastic!
  10. Also few young recruits parents can understand the long term view.
  11. Arch as Kilgore going to Columbus. I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
  12. Man, I saw Jack Lala’s name on the thread title and my insides jumped a little. The Astros are inevitable.
  13. He hasn’t played in over a month cause of a hand injury , half the lineup is injured …. They just keep finding ways to win
  14. There are no afterburners on rocket motors. Afterburners are found on atmospheric combustion turbojet engines. This thread is a nice tribute to Jack Lala, though. Hook Em Jack!!!! Wherever you are!! 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿
  15. Astros 18-27 in one runs games in 2024. 19-8 in 2025.
  16. Brooks has the rare talents of being both knowledgeable and entertaining at the same time. As a whole I just love the whole ecosystem we have found ourselves in after joining the SEC. It is a fun time to be a Longhorn fan.
  17. I can't believe I'm watching the MLB, after a good day of really good WNBA with competitive games. I need something to keep the adrenaline going.
  18. Good watch, I like his videos
  19. He doesn't appear to be as high on Klubnik as some either.
  20. I would have liked to have him, but we have so much young talent at TE that we just couldn't go all in...at THIS point. I think he's TE all the way. Similar to what Charles Barkley would have been as a football player. Strong, athletic and explosive. IMO not a OL unless he has a Tony Hills type of injury.
  21. Texas gets on the board first with a 25-yard TD pass from Manning to Mosley
