  1. Past hour
  2. Vigor is 7-1 with Garror being a huge reason why Currently averaging 2.1 sacks per game and 5.8 tackles per game
  3. If you roll him out, he shouldn't be on his heels right?
  4. Going back to the message @Bobby Burton relayed yesterday about being flat footed or not on his toes, try playing shortstop on your heels. No one will be successful in that situation.
  5. Would like to see him roll out more with run or pass option. Pocket passer with free blitzers and collapsing pockets not easy even for elite NFL QB. Hope coach changes to dink and dunk and more run or pass options. Got to do something. Teams have figured out to blitz and make they prove you can make them pay. Tenn did it to Bama and Russell looked Arch.
  6. I find it very hard to believe that his "natural system" includes RPO when RPO's require quick processing that Arch clearly doesn't possess. Second drive of the game ended when he misdiagnosed a would be TD on a 3rd down RPO and had to settle for a field goal. I guess it's possible the TE didn't know what he was doing and miraculously ran himself wide open?
  7. I highly recommend reading the book the Price it is by the same people who wrote the Program. it has sections in there about Locksley and Maryland being the Macys of college football. Probably one of the hardest jobs in College Football. Huge talent base, historic basketball school, disinterested boosters.
  8. And he knows this how. Did he send this out while taking out trash?
  9. Locksley, a former Alabama OC who had pathetic results as a HC should have been fired years ago. About damn time.
  10. Two 5 star QBs same issues….
  11. I think it's debatable (at best) if GG was ever a good QB in any system. I know he had a stint in the NFL and one decent year at SMU, but on the whole he was never a consistently good QB. Arch has looked like a great QB at time, including the second half of last season. I think he still has first round potential wheres GG never did once we saw his results at the colleagiate level.
  12. It's very obvious we're seeing a Garrett Gilbert 2.0 situation. Gilbert was suited for a wide open spread system and Mack tried to box him up and fit him into an under center drop back system. Arch is clearly a dual threat running QB who needs his legs to get him going and even taking a few hits to get his competitive fire activated. (Josh Allen style) Instead Sark has him stationary in the pocket like he's Peyton. No bootleg roll outs, no zone read RPO's, no direct QB draws etc. Sark's mismanagement of Arch will be a legendary blunder remembered for decades.
  13. I was all in on Quinn just like I am with Arch. Play calling and scheme must improve. These guys are capable, especially at the college level. Coaching has been elementary at best.
  14. Arch plays like Grandpa, not a pocket passer. Needs to be on the move.
  15. I know Sark has gotten so much heat for pointing this out, but it is something that must improve (along with much more glaring flaws) if Texas wants to run the table from now through late November.
  16. I would argue he was killing it against Michigan and was rolling at UTSA then never got it back after his injuries. Too many turnovers that year for him too and we would do the same disappearing act for 2 quarter that we are doing now.
  17. We will play as hard as we have all year, think we win and cover
  18. True, and the same development issues came up with Quinn unfortunately. I’m not all on Arch. My biggest gripe with him is the turnovers in the 4th quarter. That’s just inexcusable. Not ready to bench him just yet, especially because OU should’ve been a win if our special teams could block in punt pro and we don’t have two penalties that created chances for OU to score. Last week was on Arch some and in Sark for not just keeping the shirt game going and not punting at midfield going into halftime.
  19. The fan base is doing some revisionist history with Quinn this year. He was NOT good his last year at Texas. There's a reason he was drafted where he was. 2023 was Quinn's best year, he never touched that in 2024.
  20. How much is Vegas picking a winner vs setting the right line? Does the house put money on one side of a line they set? To me, 76% of the action on one side means the line is wrong.
  21. Same stuff every year. If Texas loses a game or two it's the QBs fault. Y'all did same thing to Quinn.
  22. No wonder he’s struggling Hard to be a pocket passer when you don’t have protection and are seeing ghosts AND you don’t have a background in that system. Once again Garrett Gilbert 2.0
  23. Frustrating as we’ve caused fumbles and tipped some balls at the LOS but we haven’t been able to get to the ball.
  24. Hopefully water finds its level on Saturday and a turnover goes the Longhorns' way.
  25. Arch doesn’t seem to have the, as @Gerry Hamilton calls it, “innate” football prowess to be that sort of a QB.
