Since start of 2023 season after he had time to establish his team, he has won 83% of games. 38-8. We had good Defenses I realize but we are doing something right. I too am worried going forward with the way we are executing the passing game. Got to get better fast or we will lose several games with this schedule.

Sark is not our issue right now. He’s had a few questionable play calls but our issue is execution.

A wild talking point 8 days after defeating OSU to become the #1 team in the country. What a luxury. Pains me to say it, but Arch is their biggest problem right now. Jekyll & Hyde thing going on. At times, he looks as good as any quarterback in the country. But far too often, he literally looks like he just woke up and found himself in his own body a full second after the ball is snapped and he's behind the play trying to figure out where he's at in his progressions. It's so frustrating. I am perplexed. I'd love to hear how his uncles diagnose his struggles. Sark's not perfect, but he didn't get his reputation by accident. He's completely turned the program around. It's one thing to question some play calls - I've yelled at the TV - but it's another thing to question him as a play caller entirely.

Bust? No. Masunas had 24 career receptions before showing up in Austin. He was touted as a physical blocker, not a David Thomas, Blaine Irby, JT Sanders-type receiving TE.

Arch is not a Sark type of QB. He needs a pocket passer who is accurate and can make quick reads. That's why Quinn, when healthy, was so good. I agree that he needs to let Arch be himself. I believe we saw that last year when he had no choice than to let Arch loose due to the bad OL.

You could also say that Spencer Shannon has been excellent blocking as an in-line TE. Just because Shannon is taking reps there, doesn’t mean that Masunas is a bust.

Not enough sample size to say bust. He just may not be as comfortable in the offense as the others are yet. This may be a big opportunity for him this week as a blocker if Townsend isn’t able to go.

Since I'm not expecting Nick Townsend back this week and with Spencer Shannon not a proven pass catcher or Emares a proven run blocker, just wondering what happened with Masunas? Wasn't Masunas getting good spring buzz? Would be nice if he could give us some good ROI. Tight end portal has not worked out since the days of Jahleel Billingsley.
