  1. Past hour
  2. https://www.nilrevolution.com/2025/05/champion-blue-llc-kentuckys-play-to-reshape-college-athletics/ Interesting.
  3. I agree. It is time for a change. I think a lot of the issues up front are simple personnel problems. The complacency in recruiting along the OL is what has bothered me the most. And it’s happening again in the 2026 recruiting class. Turntine is good, the rest seem average.
  4. What I understand is these guys aren't hungry. Paid too much too early.
  5. I think we will go 7-5, possibly being eternally optimistic. Anyway, Inam with a few on the portal and to what was a glaring need in the OL and hat went unaddressed. Really needed a couple of interior guys. Overall, for today , we had no fire in the belly. Do not know why as we knew this team with near equal talent was going to be playing all out. We acted like this was another bad Sam Houston.
  6. It was an unmitigated disaster of epic proportions. And I was wrong. Although I didn't write my expectations, internally I thought Arch would be MUCH MUCH better than he is. He has the tools there, but just can't seem to see things in real time once the lights come on. The season may not be over, but beating OU seems like a stretch. Our only chance there would be that all of OU's players break their ribs laughing when they watch the tape. It's obvious that Brooks is over-rated now, even if he does have potential. Potential just means you haven't done it yet. Ringo has a nasty habit of dropping passes that hit him in the hands. The stats mean nothing. Anyone watching the game from Mars and knows nothing about football didn't need to see a final score to know we got beat like a red-headed stepchild. Even the body language was bad. And I don't mean late in the game. I mean to START the game. Where was the fire. The excitement?
  7. Shouldn’t have to rebuild with the portal available. Reload and go. DL was a disappointment today. OL is what it is, we saw three games of this and should have known.
  8. @Tuco Ramirez Watching Clint talk to Tuco now. Gotta go back to 1966.
  9. Lots of problems exposed today that it’s hard to have confidence that it’s going to get better. We looked like we didn’t come ready to play today and that’s concerning since they had two weeks to prepare. Florida prepared. There is sure no easy games the rest of the way. Even Arkansas will play hard because Texas is their Super Bowl.
  10. I'm honestly surprised by how average Hill and Simmons have been. If Hill keeps this up, he will be back next year. Not sure if he's hurt or what, but he has been a shadow of himself. Simmons was talking all that before the season and he's got 1.5 sacks and not done much in the run game...lol. I just can't understand it tbh.
  11. Last time I let my heart decide. Tried optimism vs realism. Lesson learned.
  12. I don’t think Texas is this bad. I think the biggest question is WHY didn’t Texas show up.
  13. It was clear before this game just weren’t paying attention
  14. I've seen worse from this program. I'm not bailing with seven games to go. Doesn't mean I accept what happened today, though.
  15. Me too. I want to flush this one like the post-Thanksgiving dinner trip to the can.
  16. Again, we weren't ready to play the damn game. Before the season I thought 9-3 was the worst case scenario. I'm thinking it's 6-6 now. Hill and Simmons were literally no where to be found. Sark can't figure out how to use a bunch of four star RBs. Can't block. Apparently WRs can't get open very often. It's bizarre.
  17. 5-7 type of year with this OL and then no pass rush on the other side. Bad combo.
  18. My point wasn't that the season is over. It's that nothing internally needs to be talked about except Oklahoma. For the rest of us, don't worry about how the committee will view this loss. Worry about whether or not Texas shows up for a fight against Oklahoma.
  19. We’re waiting
  20. I know there was much concern here, but turns out the OL, defense and teams were the storm that everyone was worried about.

  21. Ever since the vaunted 2022 class of offense lineman arrived, all we heard was a narrative about how good the offensive line was..............but was it EVER that good? Kelvin Banks was awesome but who else? In 2024, we had an experienced line and that is more valuable than people realize (aggies will probably prove that this year). But was it great? Hell no. They couldn't get push in short yardage / goal line situations and when they faced elite defensive lines (Georgia, Ohio State) they were clearly over matched. I've defended Flood on here before but the more I think about, I'm usually using draft picks to justify my defensive of him. He did produce draft picks, but was the on field product EVER that good as a whole? Sark is going to have to let Flood go after this season. I would love to be wrong but there is ZERO reason we can't have at least an average offensive line. This is coaching.
  22. Still, the following must be said: Talk of the SEC Championship Game or the College Football Playoff, at this point, is pointless. Finally someone isn't afraid to say it. The truth. This team is going nowhere. We have to acknowledge it before we can move forward. It's time to shelve the expectations we had prior to the season.
  23. Oh good point, might be between you and Connor.
  24. Just bumping this for no reason…
  25. I might turn off the sprinklers and water the yard by hand tomorrow in lieu of a Sunday morning rewatch.
