Cam probably wanted way more than he was worth. Yeah.. great shot kid.. but you couldn't dribble a spider drill if your life depended on it. He was a liability on O unless he was screening or shooting and his defense was up and down. His game would have to grow exponentially for me to be worried about him hitting the portal. That's just me though. Not a big loss to me.

I'm thinking it's a better of 2 evils thing. I think if they talk about it openly, it doesn't reflect on well on the school because of the possible actions they did or did not do pertaining to those players during the season. So they'd just rather people speculate and think they are leaving because of playing time or NIL etc.

I would calculate it differently ... football has higher gross income than BB ($63 million vs $39 million) but basketball has higher net income after expenses ($23 million BB vs $14 million FB). Which sounds crazy to me ...

It’s just not like it used to be. very rarely will we see many players “stick around” for multiple years with money thrown around at them from another school or us throwing money at their replacement. That’s just the way the game is now a days.
