I have spent a good amount of time in west Texas and around west Texas folks, Tech grads mostly, and they are generally really good hard working honest folks. I really hope the judges in Lubbock look at this kid, the coaches and administrators, agents, and the circus and tell them that regardless of how this may impact a football season they will not ever support an injunction like this. If you bet on your team you’re done, period. Morality from a judge and court, what a novel concept lol.

My nephew played with Troy son. I went to a couple of the games. He is always teaching, no matter. Great guy, we need more of that teaching college and youngsters in travel baseball. Troy impressed me as a person. No matter he takes time out to teach.

That’s what a normal person would think. But Cody Campbell probably spent $6m to sign you so you probably have some sort of duty to see it through.

Given how the Tech staff has handled this situation, if the SEC and B10 break away would things like this keep either conference from courting Tech?

I can't even fathom how I would feel if my university not only condoned but engaged such behavior. Sad.

If Tech pursues this any further, the NCAA should ban Tech in NCAA sports. Period.

I honestly have no idea how situations like this normally play out. But now that a lot more of the facts are out, would it have been smarter for Sorsby to simply say, “I appreciate Texas Tech’s support, but I’m not going to fight the suspension and will enter the draft”? At least then, all of these details in the court complaint may have never become public. Or would this information have come out regardless, even without the injunction case? It just seems like all of this being public could hurt his NFL chances even more.
