Assume we get movement on the Seaton recruitment today - still not seeing that he’s in the portal yet. -
I’ve always said you can judge a coach by the improvement a team makes over a season. This team is on the right trajectory now, after a rocky start. There will be some hiccups but they are moving in the right direction. This team has some deficiencies but if the play as hard as they have lately, should be fun to watch. Tanks Jeff for your work covering basketball.

You fail to mention the fact that you have to rifle through so much click bait found on X to even get to the real stories.............So if you want to hear things first, look at sources that posts everything they hear the moment they hear it. Then, have fun figuring out if it's real or not. People don't join OTF to hear things first. They join to hear things that have been CONFIRMED by Bobby and company. -

If your concerns are more for college football in general then, yea. This probably isn't good. But for Texas? We just have to adapt. We now have a farm system. We don't have to project how an 17 year old kid will do when he's had a year or two of development. We just have to watch ESPN. It's different for sure but it will drive viewership up. If there's some stud RB at Rutgers and Texas needs a RB, we might just watch the Rutgers game (or a rerun) towards the end of the season to get a look at our possible future. I will miss the old days for sure though.

Really interesting breakdown. I think this actually shows how valuable development still is, even in the portal era. A lot of these guys weren’t obvious stars coming out of high school, and some might not have stuck around in past years, but they became NFL players because the staff believed in them and kept working with them. To me, that’s a big positive for the program. It shows Texas isn’t just chasing five-stars or quick portal fixes, but can also grow players over time and get the best out of them. Yes, the portal changes things, but seeing this many late bloomers turn into draft picks proves that strong coaching and patience still matter a lot. That’s a good sign for the future, not a bad one.

Only reason I kept 247 is for the free Paramount +/CBS subs. I look over there occasionally and their network for other school sites. -
