People tend to look at records, then draw their conclusions. If you win, you are a good coach. If you lose, you are a poor coach. In the old days......ie, before UIL (and ignoring bagmen issues) this was probably a reasonable assumption. Sadly, today it isn't as much about coaching as it player purchases. I am an idealistic old man. It is hard to rationalize why a kid would go to SMU when they could go to Texas, or Stanford, or Michigan, etc. I rather image that there are folks in West Virgina regretting their decision.

Okay obviously Texas is going to attack the portal this offseason, but what position do we need the most besides offensive line? Also who do you think will end up staying rather than leave to the draft? My wish is that Ant Hill stays one more year because we will sure need him but that will most likely not happen. Florida played 5 teams in the Top 13 and took them all into the 4th quarter. I really don’t think our loss to Florida was even as bad as Tech’s loss to ASU.
