  5. So Terry DID have surgery. I feel like this is new info as I only recall reporting that he was simply held out. Hopefully whatever has been plaguing him since high school is corrected now.
  6. We continue our countdown of the best Texas Longhorns to wear each jersey number, and today’s number is a lot stronger than some might realize. At No. 93, the clear headliner is T’Vondre Sweat. Sweat put together one of the greatest seasons by a defensive tackle in Texas history in 2023, winning the Outland Trophy, earning unanimous All-American honors and being named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. He played in 62 career games with 18 starts and finished his Texas career with 127 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, 5 sacks and 13 pass breakups. Behind Sweat is Eric Holle, a key part of that loaded 1983 Texas defense. Holle was an All-Southwest Conference selection in 1983, helped Texas finish 11-1 and was later drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round of the 1984 NFL Draft. Steve Llewellyn comes in next after a productive career in the mid-to-late 1980s. Llewellyn finished with 178 career tackles, 6.5 sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. His best seasons included 64 tackles in 1986, 52 in 1985 and 49 in 1987. And, of course, we have current No. 93, defensive tackle Hero Kanu. Who was the best No. 93 in your opinion and who is your favorite?

  11. CJ mentioned Brown as a name to watch last month. He's a state finalist in the 110m hurdle.
  12. Kansas State has been trending in Brown's recruitment to this point.

  14. Third base is accounted for with Lincin, I'm not sure if we retain borba or not but he could easily slide to first.
  15. Texas offered Palo Duro WR Kyron Brown on Wednesday after a strong camp performance. The 6-2, 185-pounder tells OTF he's set an OV to Austin for June 12-14.
  16. best college named after a rural town in southern Alabama, for sure
  17. The track and field portal opens during the week of NCAA Regionals too.
  18. Gerry, Two other rabbit holes worth going down: 1. Don Rickles - the OG of insult comedians. His ability to dress down people but remain loveable was genius. 2. Norm MacDonald - widely considered the "last dangerous comedian" before political correctness ushered in a dark age (but TBO, I feel the dangerous comedians are starting to rise again thanks to the Kill Tony podcast which paved the way for some of the recent irreverent roast specials on Netflix).
  19. No she didnt get the start relieved the starter in the 1st for an inning though
  20. In 1984 I saw Rodney Dangerfield live in concert in Washington DC. I was 31 years old back then and had been a fan since I was a little kid watching him on the Ed Sullivan show and with Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show when my Dad let me stay up late with him. The venue was a theatre with a 3500 capacity and the place was SRO. Rodney put on a great show. Having only seen him on TV, I had never heard his "Adult" material and it was hilarious. Just enough off-color to be truly funny but not approaching really "Blue" or obscene. My favorite line was Rodney said when he was a kid, at Halloween his Mother made him stand in the living room window with a candle in his mouth -- No Respect! RIP Rodney Dangerfield. Hook 'Em Gerry!
  21. The Spurs to me mostly need another darn big, gotta find a way to improve that 4 spot at least. Teams with big depth and Size have had the Spurs number. Think trading one of Fox and KJ this off season could be interesting. I’d only like to trade Castle if we get a crazy haul for him. Even though they had their struggles as a unit Spurs wouldn’t be in the Finals without Fox, Harper and Castle. Long term fit is a potential concern but no need to blow it up after one year just yet. Also shout out to Champagine
  22. If that is true, perhaps the best way to describe it is that he could reach a higher peak than anyone to this point, but he will likely lack the longevity to be among the all time greats. I've said he's the best in the world now too, but much of the media talk about him being the best at 22 is hyperbolic. There are multiple all-time greats who had multiple titles at age 22, and who were the best players in the world at age 21 or 22.
