France v Norway would be awesome

France vs. Morocco today should be good. France is favored to take it all. We'll see. I am still pissed Argentina pulled off that miracle against Egypt.

We are going to see more and more Euros in American hoops for both genders! France and Spain have an inordinate amount of talent among the women in the sport. A bunch are already playing in the WNBA. Just look at the Valkyries. -

James Worthy is still called Big Game James because he outplayed Larry Bird in the 1987 NBA Finals, -
I want the US team to stop talking and doing things like they accomplished something when they haven’t. Pulisic annoyed me and play well and win something before celebrating. Win before talking, on my dislike list is those who talk as know it alls about World Cup time and then disappear for four years.

Yeah, that is NOT how you handle a situation like that. Very poor form by Bianco and Ole Miss.

Their mods have been talking for months that this was going to be a small class. They went really big in the last two cycles and like what they have in those groups, so they’re not spending heavy in this cycle and plan to focus a lot of their spend on retention. I guess that can work for schools with less money and excellent coaching and maybe that is Bama now. I am not sure their fanbase has that kind of patience. Bama is staring down the barrel of a shockingly bad season if they start slow. They have nothing proven at QB, an inexperienced OL, no depth at RB, a shaky overall running game, a star WR who is soft as charmin. The defense is in need of a rebuild across the board and the schedule is unforgiving. I know DeBoer is an excellent coach, but if the dude goes 8-5 or worse, that idiotic fanbase isn’t grounded enough to be patient. They’re also poor, so maybe that new extension and buyout simply make Deboer bulletproof for how he wants to build his roster, as long as the players buy into it, I guess.

Thx. My bad, AZ Peat was drafted. That does help AZ. But... In June 2026, read AZ added 6-10 200 PF Maksim Brnović, an elite, highly skilled "jumbo creator" and one of the top European prospects born in 2008. NBA scouts view him as a versatile playmaker with high-level guard skills packed into a big man's frame. He needs to add maybe 10lbs of good weight which is doable. Should be ready to play this fall. Marcus Spears could be a good complement to him. But Marcus could get as many or more minutes at Texas. Again, several teams recruiting Marcus have a spot open for 2026. I still like the chances Texas gets Marcus Spears Jr (if he is reclassified as 2026) - potential playing time and development, HC Miller's Dailyn Swain development proof of concept, current family connection to Texas, friend and former teammate at Texas, close to home (Dallas), great 2026 Texas roster, etc. -
What are quotation marks, Daddy?? 🤷🏽♂️🤦🏿♂️

This one or Mexico vs England. The atmosphere was electric at the Azteca Stadium.

I love the enthusiasms and hopefully we take a big step in development in the next few years, but this team was nowhere near ready for a bigtime opponent (and Belgium is not as good as they were a couple of years ago). France is by far the best team. Let's see if they can finish.
-
Alabama problem - Let's finish strong!
-
I knew the US was going to lose big to Belgium. I’m tired of hearing the hype over team USA and then seeing the usual big defeat they’ll get from a South American or European country. Go France

Koa Peat was drafted. If Spears wants a big role next year I think Arizona is the choice. I imagine Arizona saved some NIL for Peat to withdraw and return to school, so they probably have that for Spears as well. -
It’s gonna be different for teams but they did sign the top class in the sec last year, they could very well have a top 10 class next year. Even with sark in 25 we signed the number one class and last year per on3 we had the 10th ranked class

More stuff for @Gerry Hamilton Kobe at 22 in May 2001 would likely beat April Jordan 1v1 at 22 in April 1986 when Jordan scored 63 against the Celtics. While Jordan's performance is legendary, Kobe dominated the best best defense in the NBA over multiple games. -
I think that general managers are balancing their classes depending on when they want to go big on portal or invest in the future. Dropping out of the top 25 is really, really bold. Taking a huge bet on the portal working out.
-
Ballsy strategy.

Gerry said a couple of days ago on coffee and football he thinks they may be ramping up to go big in the transfer portal

Good stuff @Little Carmine I know you're tweaking me. Doesn't matter. AI says: Yes, January 2006 Kobe is the best ever in the NBA. -

I heard the opposite, Kobe was the least hard working person on the planet. Oh yeah, who is Kobe? -

@Gerry Hamilton Not only did Kobe work harder than Shaq, he worked harder than Michael Jordan. Yes, Phil Jackson stated that Kobe Bryant worked harder than Michael Jordan in training. [1]
