  1. Past hour
  2. The internet age has just gone nuts on play calling. All these fans that think they know what should be called are off their rocker. Countless coaches have called both offense and defense and won titles.
  3. I'm as disappointed as anyone that the offense and Arch are not performing at a championship level yet. But where I'm different than others I'm gonna let play out. If it doesn't get fixed we are gonna struggle all season but what I'm not gonna do is turn on Sark and Arch after 3 games. That is dumb.
  4. If it can be repaired then it is broken. Texas has a lot of work ahead.
  5. This and the claims that Sark can't call plays and be the HC at the same time is really weird. We have one of the best defenses in the country and an inconsistent first year starting QB. Let's not make it bigger than it is.
  6. Simms would be amazing rn. They would be national championship contenders with this defense.
  7. Elko calls the defensive plays and him and the defense looks terrible and lost. LOL
  8. I agree with this other than Florida. We beat them but lose to OU, Vandy, Georgia and the Aggies
  9. Does Sark have the self-awareness or quite frankly, gall to do that? I don’t believe so. Hope I’m wrong.
  10. I’d agree with that after watching all of his throws from last year and this year several times. poor anticipation, poor ability to layer, accuracy can be inconsistent.
  11. You unfortunately have to give them credit. No one saw Reed being considerably better than Manning. They have better receivers, running backs and Oline. In one offseason it’s happened. Texas grossly miscalculated their talent and didn’t hit the portal at WR and Oline enough. There isn’t a single spot where Texas is better than Aggy on offense with Steve Sarkisian as HC. That’s mind blowing.
  12. This and the Marcus Freeman great coach proclamations were a bit pre-mature.
  13. Today
  14. October and November still will happen with 2 to 5 loses. I’ll be impressed when they are better than 8-5 at seasons end.
  15. Really great point. But Arch, and I say this as his biggest supporter, is concerning. When a player loses confidence it's hard to get it back.
  16. Yeall well no 💩 dude what kind of take is it to say that 4th year starting quinn would do a better job than this. Letting Quinn go for Arch was always about the ceiling of Quinn, that not being of a championship team. Of course the way it looks right now we might not even make the playoffs so in retrospective it might make you think that you'd rather see another semifinal appearence rather than not making the playoffs at all. I don't really understand what we're even discussing here. Arch needs to figure it out, mentally. We're not going far without him.
  17. Um Lockett was a 5 star. Ffrench was right there. Wingo was a 5 star. They are young but the one outperforming was a guy that was less heralded in PL. The difference is we didn’t get more in the portal. A&M changed their whole offense getting Craver and Conception Texas needed more and didn’t do it.
  18. Ohio State’s front 7 this year was nothing close to what Georgia had last year. The question was about Quinn vs Arch’s upside this year. I’m saying fourth year Quinn playing a quick accurate short passing game has us in way better position than the dumpster fire we’re seeing on offense right now.
  19. The defense has been better since the playoff loss to Washington. Since then Texas added Nanson and they haven’t looked back. PK is outperforming Sarkisian and his offense. The difference is Sarkisian won’t get help on that side and PK has constantly adapted and involved other voices.
  20. Do we remember how Quinn looked against Georgia the first time around last year? He'd do a better job than Arch right now, no question, but he does not raise the ceiling. We're not winning a championship without Arch this year, so if we want to he has to figure it out and he has to be helped by Sark, who's making 10 million a year to do so. Again we're talking about someone's confidence here, this is not a bum QB with no talent where there's just no light at the end of the tunnel. He has all the tools and if Texas wants to win it's gonna be with Arch working through it, not giving up and not be given up on.
  21. Not impressed with ND defense. Pretty much let two teams drive their teams to wins. Carr not particularly impressive. But I love this t-shirt: Catholics vs Cultists
  22. Moving on indefinitely isn't gonna do anything good for this team. I've said it already, Arch is by far the most talented in the room and the ceiling drops a lot for the offense if Arch can't figure it out mentally. Sark's job is to find confidence in Arch, go back to the basics, and stack successful performances. He has got to stop making Arch the centerpiece of the offense, full stop. Whether that's heavy running game, lots of RPOs and screens I don't know, but he gets paid 10 million a year to figure out how to go back to 2024 MSU Arch.
  23. I think Sark and team may have not recruited and developed offense as well as we have been led to believe by the media/analysis community OL was planned poorly. Recruiting, portal and development. Kelvin Banks and Majors may have covered up some of Floods mistakes in planning ahead QB coaching - after Ewers poor development and now Arch (in his 3rd year/ not a freshman) must be questioned
