Is there too much of a “bro culture” amongst the coaches? Sark seems to care more about maintaining his friendships with Flood-Nansen-Banks than being a hardass

How would you even know this?

He and Barnes look like serious takes at DB.

I believe there will be higher end players entering towards the end of the month.

FWIW, Joseph was the 21st ranked safety in the ACC and Barnes was the 43rd ranked safety per PFF.

Very talented edge rusher.

66 pressures, 8 sacks. 2nd most pressures in the entire country according to PFF.

We will be fine at edge, but it definitely sucks knowing that he will presumably go to A&M or Tech or Georgia and turn into a monster. 🙄

From 5 years of watching a sloppy team with same staff

That same sloppy team that made it to the playoffs two years in a row and just barely missed this year?  You must not been around before Sark. 🤦‍♂️

They do a fine job, no doubt.

They also start 10/11 players on offense on their 4th year or later of college football, several of which are 5th years. To me, that is just as important as any aspect of their roster seeing so much success.

This is a big deal that people underestimate.  Experience and another year(s) of growth/conditioning is massive at that level.  Sure there are some prodigies, but when you have teams that are comparatively talented, upper classmen on average will be bigger, faster, stronger, and just know more about the game.  Vets vs. rookies.

I feel like you need a good mix of experience and youth, otherwise you will be subject to potential massive swings in production.    Having an offense of almost all 4th year+ players.  What is going to happen next year?  We saw what happened to texas when we had to replace a bunch of players on offense.

You cannot argue we are not sloppy when we are one of the most penalized programs in each of the years of Sark's tenure here. Also, that same sloppiness has prevented us from going further when if we were well coached and disciplined, we'd probably be back-to-back national champions.

@CJ Vogel  is this one to go after?  Seems a great fit since he would be at least a 2 year player potentially.

We'll see. Only 34 snaps as a true freshman, so how much can you really rely on him contributing with an already young LB group. I would look for someone to be a rotational piece with experience. Still have Landyn Watson circled as someone who fits that bill.

Doesn't need to be an all-conference guy, but can't be someone with no experience at alll.

Definitely need experience but could be a good depth piece. A luxury pickup for sure
