There are some very firm prerequisites I would have for Texas in regards to portal targets this year:

1. Coming off of season-ending injury? Crossed off the list.

2. I want a seamless positional transfer. That means I am not recruiting a LT to come fill the LG spot. 

This is the biggest chance to maximize the window of Arch Manning. Make the most of it with sure-fire transfers, not projects or potential pieces.

Marsh is a good player and I think on Par with Wingo. Wingo doesn’t play big. 
 

 

Coleman has a ton of straight line speed. He’s a complete WR and a total mismatch. 

If he is available, you throw a bag at him. And having him and Wingo as your two main guys would be pretty deadly.

Just for context – Was passed up this year and played just 18 snaps after 790 in 2024. 

Earned a redshirt as a result of seeing just one game up this year. Had 9 PBU and 0 INT in 2024 as a starter.

I would add they have to be a proven contributor, or at least have a decent amount of tape. I don't want players that have little to no playing time so we really don't know what they can contribute.  That is for HS recruiting.

I agree.  The biggest problem i have with these G5 players is how much of their production is due to competition versus ability.  Feel like there is more risk/reward than targeting p4 players that have tape against better competition.  @CJ Vogel how do you judge that or weigh it during this process?
