Why I hate the sooners..

Just got done talking with a sooner fan who said that he was going to go to the playoff game until he looked at ticket prices...he said they are $200+ for nosebleed and "thats just too much to see them"

I'm not here to downplay any financial struggles, but if Texas was in the playoffs and tickets were $250! Im selling plasma to get me there if I have to!!

All this to say; I just dont feel like sooner fans are all in.

For the TX OU game, the OU seats are always cheaper than the Texas seats, even when they are favored.  Our fans are willing to pay more & we have always traveled well 🤘

Several years ago Texas won the RRR and my buddy treated my Ex and me to a post-game dinner at Morton's in downtown Dallas.

The waiter told us he was sorry, but the restaurant staff always favored the Sooners. He said when OU wins, their more fortunate fans extend their stay until Sunday and enjoy expensive dinners and wine.

He said otoh, the Texas fans show up in just about the same numbers regardless of the outcome of the game.

The RRR game is still my all time favorite.

Interesting perspective - sounds about right with the comparison of the two fan bases. I totally agree about the RRR being the best game - it’s the one game each season we always go to - there is just nothing like it!!

Oklahoma is just a criminal operation since Switzer’s days. They’re a bunch of borderline convicts that have zero class yet somehow sneak their way into championship contention. They’re a slimy grimy bunch. The worst part are their non-alumni fans. Some of the worst fans in to country, and proudly ignorant and obnoxious. Their mascot IS A CRIMINAL for heaven’s sakes!

Speaking of Ole' Spyin' Barry Switzer... I saw him on the TV coverage of the Alabama game last night and wow, Barry's got a lotta miles on him.

I almost tuned out at 17-0 because I said "I'm not gonna watch this"... glad I hung in because I enjoyed watching zero U getting worse with each passing minute.

You are correct about a portion of the Mobilehoma fans...saw them again last night on the broadcast... they have a certain kind of look about 'em!

They started the scam during the Wilkinson days. Fell off for a while before Fairbanks got it rolling again. Switzer took it to a whole new level.

Still wild to me you could get a cheaper ticket to aggie playoff game than when OSU comes to Austin next season 🤣

I hated when Caleb Williams came in as a true freshman and beat us. I just saw him unleash a perfect game winning pass in OT against the Packers. He's pretty good. OU sucks.

Switzer is trash in my book. He was doing NIL under the table in the 1970s and all the while laughing at Darrel Royal for being too old fashioned to play that game.
