Last cycle we were pretty in on these guys and I wonder if it ever came out how much more Tech paid than our offer to get these guys?  I think few people recognized Bailey could be a stud, but we were after him pretty hard.  I feel like Lee Hunter would have also been a great hit for us.

It's a lot easier to offer up spots for one year mercenaries when they don't have any competition on the roster and can walk into starting gigs. Tech didn't have to do much, if any, retention last year and still significantly less than Texas this year. Stark difference in the programs and how they have to approach the portal.

Well. It certainly worked out for Tech and Bailey and Hunter in this case.

We still have quite of bit of retention to do but I’m hoping the attrition helps free up space for multiple big hitters in the portal
