Texas will get a visit from Miami freshman defensive lineman Donta Simpson.

Simpson, who is 6-3, 300 pounds, played his high school ball at Chaminade-Madonna High, the same school that produced incoming Texas running back recruit Derek Cooper and Florida State safety Edwin Joseph who visited Texas this weekend.

Illinois, Washington and SMU also hope to get Simpson to visit.

According to published reports, Louisville running back Isaac Brown will return to Louisville next season.

Brown announced last week that he would enter the portal. Even though he filed the paperwork, Louisville used the two business day policy to negotiate with him and reached a deal on Sunday.

Texas was thought to be one of the team’s most interested in Brown had he entered the portal.

Where does Texas go from here for an RB?

Florida RB Jaden Baugh has supposedly been contemplating entering the portal but has not done so.

LSU running back Caden Durham, who played high school ball at Duncanville, entered the portal yesterday.

But with Brown off the board, it’s a guess as to who the Horns might be able to snare.
