How many “serious studs” that have entered the transfer portal have signed with other teams in positions that we needed to fill? Outside of the players we are pursuing, there aren’t many players out there that are better than what we already have.

How so? We’ve added 3 specialist, a TE that’ll maybe see the field, and a depth corner. We need 3 IOL or 2 and 1 OT, 2 RBs, 1/2 WRs, and 2 LBers.

In 2023 you wouldn’t have guessed Gunnar Helm would have the 2024 season that he had.

We’re good at TE, the guys we have are perfectly capable of developing. Honestly, we’d be ok at WR too. This Fr class of receivers (Lockett, McCutcheon, etc) can and will come on. 
 

We undeniably need help at OL, that’s truth. We need at least one playmaker at RB. One homerun hitter and one goal line back would be ideal. Hate that we lost Wisner. Above all else he was a willpower guy and leader with heart

From other sites, it seems to be implied that we are unable to win these portal battles because of the rev share limits. Other schools are simply ignoring the rules and spending whatever they want, which makes sense given that the rules are obviously completely unenforceable (and frankly ethically wrong. You are telling me all of the athletes at the school can only make $20M a year while Lane Kiffin can make $13M himself? just laughable)

But for whatever reason the idiots in charge at UT are happy playing with one hand tied behind our back. If true it is an incredibly dumb move by CDC, Compliance, and Texas One. Just pay the damn players and let's see what the NCAA does about it.
