This. Players are using Texas as leverage to up their NIL contracts at the schools they are at. Its happened multiple times this cycle. 

The real question is does Texas know this is happening, do they think they can actually get these players from the portal, and do they have legitimate back-up plans?

I'm neither a sunshine pumper nor a doomsdayer, but as of right this moment, a scenario where we end up with less talent than we had heading into portal season seems like a very real possibility.

It could be that Sark and Co. have things under control in the background and all we need is patience, but it's hard for me to be optimistic.

@Gerry Hamilton I know everyone has been preaching patience, but when do people start to panic lol? I mean all I’m seeing is talent going out, talent returning to their schools, and us getting ST players lol. At some point Texas has got to pony up for someone and make an offer they can’t refuse right?
