The only reason I could rationalize is if he wanted to stay closer to family. I don’t know his family situation, but maybe he has relatives who would have a hard time getting to his games. Visiting three different campuses in one week, all far from his hometown, might put things into perspective and make staying closer to home feel like the best option. Like you said, he’s going to make money anywhere. I know I might be reaching a bit, but with Alabama’s QB situation, that’s honestly the only reason I can think of for choosing Alabama. Also, it’s still Alabama—they’re going to put a good team on the field regardless of their quarterback situation. Edited January 10 by Colby TS 3 Quote
