HookedOnTF Posted January 23 Posted January 23 We didn't even try Harris Sewell? Disappointed to not be in the rant. 1 1 Quote
Wabi Sabi Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Assuming everything he said is factual, this is the perfect opportunity for the NCAA to reassert some power and/or boundaries... Come down HARD and maybe that deters things somewhat? I don't know what other choice they have. If you do little/nothing, then it's OFFICIALLY an NCAA endorsed free for all. 6 1 Quote

Bobby Burton Posted January 24 Posted January 24 You want to know what the penalty for this might be? Pete Golding might get suspended for a game when Ole Miss plays Jacksonville State or something. The punishment never fits the crime IMO with the NCAA. 7 1 Quote
Hix Green made the Catch Posted January 24 Posted January 24 People with very deep pockets (gamblers?? mobsters??) must want this lawlessness and avarice, but because of my own ignorance and naivete I can't see through the veil. Some of you know how to follow the money. What is going on? What are your more seasoned eyes seeing? 1 Quote

ClubWhatever Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Golding should get a 6 game suspension plus any post season games. The player and agent should be sued for damages. Rake them over the coals. 2 Quote
THookem Posted January 24 Posted January 24 I never realized how clean Dabo has been in recruiting throughout his career. Wow! He’s been an angel out there. This has been a real surprise to me. 1 2 Quote

Burnt Orange Horn Posted January 24 Posted January 24 Well, I went back to listen to Dabo. Seems more like a partial documentary of how the portal works these days. There are no rules let alone enforcement. It is basically a 21st Century version of a slave auction with the participation of the slave and his trader. 1 Quote

.45s Posted January 24 Posted January 24 What a clusterf....🤔. Some things don't add up if there is a buyout in a contract and the player opts to take that option and move, regardless of when they sign the contract. That would present a big problem between any enforcement by the NCAA or another group for tampering with the legal system. I don't know if Luke's contract had a buyout and think that is tampering if he did not have one, otherwise it is a real mess. The NIL and portal are huge problems the way they are set up. Quote
