UTexas Posted Friday at 06:36 PM Posted Friday at 06:36 PM Kentucky finally overtook the powerhouse that is Santa Clara for the OT win. Tech has started to stretch their lead on Akron finally. Quote
TravelingHorn Posted Friday at 06:45 PM Posted Friday at 06:45 PM I know that by the end of the day I will regret saying this, but for now.....I STAND ALONE in the OTF bracket challenge!!! 2 1 Quote
Dread-headed Texan Posted Friday at 07:58 PM Posted Friday at 07:58 PM If the men's game had as much crisp off ball movement and spacing as the women's game it would be absolutely amazing to watch. Baylor's offense in the fourth quarter against Nebraska should be studied. Quote
pinkman_90 Posted Friday at 10:01 PM Author Posted Friday at 10:01 PM How is Devin Askew still playing college basketball? Quote

How strong or weak a conference is perceived to be isn't an indictment on an individual team. Moreso, if you win a championship and don't play in the strongest conference (hello UConn women) does that take away from the fact that you either beat enough of or everyone that was put in front of you? In my most humble opinion the we play in this conference or that conference is an excuse fans use when their team doesn't get the job done.🤷🏿 1 Quote
Dread-headed Texan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago It was all fun and games when Duke was pushed, St Louis said hold my beer. Michigan is super frustrated they aren't blowing out STL😂 That's the hard part when playing these lower seeded teams that don't match up with you, but they run a crisp and clean offensive set that you normally don't see. charlie990 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Am I crazy for this but it really doesn't make sense that we play the first round on a thursday and a friday? Now I'm sitting around on a sunday morning with nothing to watch. Maybe do the second round on mon/tues where you can schedule it better to be after work. Then again, I do love watching some march madness at work. Also, it being my first year in Pacific time has made me more aware of this. Quote

Need High Point to get serious and complete the upset. High Point has a very cool and unique campus. Two steakhouse restaurants on campus among other cool stuff. Quote

Neil Leininger Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Duke getting all the calls already. Punch has been hit in the face twice and nothing. Quote
Califashorn75 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Laila Phelia, who plays for Syracuse, was with us one year. She had a detached retina, had surgery, redshirted and took off to Syracuse. She's balling for Syracuse. They are 12 points ahead of Iowa State heading into the 4th quarter. The winner plays UConn. Good luck. We will have Mohammed tomorrow who was with us but transfered to Oregon. She needs a good belt whipping. Quote
Dread-headed Texan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago If you're not a Duke fan and haven't watched them all year you're probably asking why they aren't up bigger? That's not who they are, they played close against UNC, UVA, MICH, Texas Tech... they don't blow you out because they aren't an offensive team. They rely on defense, they're more comparable to a Matt Barnes Texas team, than they are of the team you're accustomed to seeing under Coach K. Quote
Dread-headed Texan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Just now, Tuco Ramirez said: Wow. Refs being very generous to Duke. How? They're being rewarded for forcing the issue. They aren't checking up a million 3s, they're driving and getting shots up on the block. That's where most of the fouls in basketball occur. TCU can't do the same because of the length of Duke, and they're relying more on transition and long range shots. You ain't getting calls playing that way. Quote

With everyone healthy they looked like one of the top 3 favorites to win it all. When the PG broke his foot I figured they'd be lucky to make it to the Final Four. The replacement PG (Cayden Boozer) is probably as good as the starter but then there's a big drop off to PG 3. When the starting center got hurt all bets are off, the sub big man is good on defense but there's no one behind him except an undersized freshman. I know the starter is supposed to come back in maybe the Sweet 16 but ... Then I just saw this from ESPN - doesn't look good for # 1 seeds who play close openers with # 16 seeds. Told you Quote
