What say you Gerry Hamilton? Texas didn't want to deal with the circus the first go round. He can shoot the ball for sure ... but I wouldn't go there. That's before the medical. His GF at the time he committed to USC was set to attend SMU ... not saying he ends up at SMU. 1 Quote
NotGerryHamilton Posted April 3, 2024 Posted April 3, 2024 He’s not very good and the health issues are still concerning. I’d pass Quote

Interesting considering SMU hired the former USC coach. Quote

I’d pass He's better than what most people on the board think. He's probably the first recruit I've ever followed that was extremely overrated then underrated then overrated and now underrated again. With that said, he doesn't bring anything to the table at his best that Chendall Weaver wouldn't already provide imo. 1 Quote
hookem1 Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 I mean he’s not going to be top priority target on the list obviously, but Texas does a good job with student athletes who had athlete parents (Manning, O’Neal, Skinner) so from that point of view I could see it. It would just depend what type of role he is looking for, because I don’t see RT promising a starting role but I could see a bench option with shooting if healthy. Doesn’t seem likely at all but don’t think it would be a bad pickup, since we’ll likely have lots of spots open. 1 Quote
Neil Leininger Posted April 4, 2024 Posted April 4, 2024 Man, Enfield was a complete disaster at USC. Just goes to show you that one Cindrella mid-major tournament run is a horrible way to hire a coach. Quote
