Sneaky good... alot faster than what you'd expect. What side do you see him playing on in college?

Defense. Safety, possibly grow into a linebacker.

Question @Hank South

Most fans seem to gauge recruiting success with recruiting an all-star team. This is not only unrealistic but also unnecessary to win it all. With that backdrop, do y’all(I’m sure you do) have a position board at the beginning of each season that’s coded with team needs? Post recruiting season, do that yall indicate if that need was met, exceeded, or missed? I mean independent of a player’s name and more if the needs were filled. I would find it fascinating to see y’all’s before and after perspective and then a rolling 4 year window against each year to see y’all’s hit rate on the macro team success vs player journey. The look back would keep yall fresh on how your projections fared but you’d also get pretty grounded on current season prognostications. you might find that x position is invaluable unexpectedly and y is overrated, etc. eg we learned if your oline score is a 4, you need a VY. If it’s an 8, SE would crush it.

I imagine y’all track, for yourselves, every player and crystal ball projection to see how you fare as a recruiting expert. I hope y’all add 1-3 reason why a player came or didnt to Texas as data points for future picks and bragging rights as the most informed and accurate site. Maybe not to share at a micro level but yall could share real world, high level data points that inform player destinations. We’re getting far enough into nil to start finding trends even in the Wild West.

Apologies for the morning babble before coffee. Feel free to ignore, I would. 🤣

Great question. It kind of shifts a lot. You can go into a cycle, take 2027 for example, thinking Texas needs X, Y, and Z. Then the portal opens and you lose more WRs than you expected, or somebody hops in the draft, and then WR becomes a major need. It's just a very fluid situation throughout the entirety of the cycle, really from the start of February to the end of the portal in January. But I do think a look back at whether needs were met is an interesting content idea! We'll look into that.
