Califashorn75 Posted Friday at 05:53 PM Posted Friday at 05:53 PM The SEC is loaded. We have to protect home court and snatch a few from the away games. I predict huge crowds this year. Time to open the upper deck. Quote

There won't be enough momentum with home crowds until the conference season rolls around for anyone to be discussing opening up the upper deck. Also, Florida is January 2, before students get back on campus. Which is a real shame. I'm sure it will be sold out, but it won't be ideal without the students. Quote

harveycmd Posted yesterday at 12:37 AM Posted yesterday at 12:37 AM I don't get this Florida is great talk. No team goes far in the tournament without high level guard play. Not only are the Florida guards not high level, but they are also objectively mediocre to bad. Haugh is not some great player. He's a wing that can't shoot consistently and can't defend his position. They can rebound and play good paint defense. They can pressure bad guards into turnovers. That doesn't win titles. Quote

I don’t disagree on Gators guards … especially if B. Fland doesn’t shoot it better . Aberdeen helps the cause But they need their front court to dominate every nite against high-major competition Todd Golden will coach it up offensively for 87-88 per game average … think that is what counting on. But those tournament games that are played in 70’s and come down to last 3 mins will be interesting again Quote

Unless Golden can hit threes and defend athletic wings, there's another postseason meltdown coming that these media guys simply refuse to acknowledge. This isn't likely to be a big problem except for a few regular season games and the tournament. 1 Quote

WRNC Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Best men's college basketball offseason moves "Best overall offseason Texas Sean Miller treated the offseason like Black Friday. Just when it seemed he was done shopping, he found another deal he couldn't resist. In July, Marcus Spears Jr., the former No. 1 player in the 2027 recruiting class, announced that he was reclassifying up a year and would join the Longhorns, a team that had already made itself a contender over the early summer. That plan started with the return of Matas Vokietaitis, who averaged 16 points and nearly 54.5% shooting from the field during UT's Sweet 16 run. Colorado's Isaiah Johnson and TCU's David Punch were two of the most coveted transfers in the country. Miller signed them. He also got Austin Goosby, a five-star recruit and another anchor of this team's No. 4 ranked recruiting class. The Longhorns look like national title contenders months after losing Dailyn Swain, a first-round pick in this summer's NBA draft." https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/50160306/mens-college-basketball-best-worst-offseason-moves-2026-2027 Yahoo Sports: WINNER: TEXAS........ https://sports.yahoo.com/mens-college-basketball/article/college-basketball-transfer-portal-winners-and-losers-florida-on-the-rise-kansas-in-precarious-situation-170305632.html CBS sports: Winner: Sean Miller loading up for Year 2 at Texas https://www.cbssports.com/college-basketball/news/2026-college-basketball-transfer-portal-winners-losers/ 1 Quote
