and won the Heisman and was the1st overall pick in the draft. (take off the Brunt Orange glasses)

It’s like Hurts wasn’t benched at Bama and put up stellar numbers at OU.  Nothing to do with the system.

Interestingly enough, the bakers completion percentage was 2% higher than Tebows in college.  Comparable yards per completion.  Tebows interception % was lower (SEC vs Big 12, right?).

I’m not a Tebow fan.  There have been several references to discounting him being a QB due to passing.  Yet ironically Vy and Cam weren’t the most prolific passers either.

All of Bakers efforts should be discounted as this was peak OU holding their asses off.  Shameful Big 12 and officiating crews.

OU did not discriminate.  They held everybody.

On offense and defense (secondary).

Tebow couldn’t pass in the NFL, but led college football in passer efficiency 2008, and had 170.8 qb passer rating in overall college career.  He could pass because of the run, but still.  I am no Tebow fan either, but I am a fan of looking at things objectively.

And if you want to look at things subjectively, VY was the best college QB to ever play the game by the time he was a senior.  Unstoppable and dominant against one of the greatest teams to ever don a football field.  He killed a dynasty at its apex that included 2 Heisman winners and was littered with NFL picks on both sides of the ball.

Longhorn fans vastly overrate VY. It's understandable.

What other QB wins that natty from that group?  Maybe Cam ? Probably not.  Bias aside, VY at his apex, is the best qb to ever put on a college uniform.

How many future NFL players were on that 2005 team? A whole bunch. The starting receivers, the two deep at RB including the FB, Three OL were multi year starters in the league. The entire starting DL and DBs.

I won’t even comment on those who were redshirting or injured: McCoy, Finley, Muckelroy, Shipley

I think Newton, Burrow or Tebow would have somehow hung in there.

We will agree to disagree.  Vince won that game.  I work too hard to get into the minutiae, but Tebow fails due to chunk yards needed, Burrow receivers were better, Cam I conceded might have hung in there, he had a monster year tha year .  Let’s put it this way, which qb of those do you sub in for Vince when 12 points down and just over 6 minutes left.  Because I knew Texas was winning even at that point!. And it was because of one person

That one person?   One of the Ting brothers.  Dropped that easy pick that ends it.
