I'm sure it sucks for those 7th graders now but there's a high chance he's barely a top 100 prospect by the time his Junior year rolls around. I still remember when Emoni Bates was going to challenge Victor Wembanyama for the #1 pick in the.b 2023 NBA draft. Wemby is a top 5 player and Bates is in the G League playing for the Texas Legends.

McCallum's Center was 6'5" in mid 60s high school in Austin.  Abe Lemons won the NIT with a 6'5" center.  Had a bunch of shooters and Johnny Moore on that team.
