texcoyote15 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Did you see this interview from Vic? He said two of the transfers were shopping around for awhile and the other one didn’t have any options…….basically because she didn’t have a place coming back. Must have been Carlton i guess because she and her mother have sent said some derogatory things about Texas since she left. 2 Quote
CutaneousHorn Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago UCLA was a VERY good team. It’s not like losing to them was a huge upset. 1 Quote
jbseamus83 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago You can't help but listen to that and appreciate Vic as a man. You may not agree with every coaching decision he makes, but there's very few coaches who are as open and honest about how he sees the game and how he coaches. Thanks for posting. Proud that Vic is a Longhorn! 2 Quote
Rocky P Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago you can see the pain he feels in losing the players. Hopefully he learns from it and those players don't learn to regret their decisions. 1 Quote
TexTheHorn24 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Lee and Crump were shopping around. Carlton was basically told to kick rocks. I think Texas will be fine. The freshmen will deliver a national championship in time. I’m riding with Vic. He’s delivered a bunch of conference titles and back to back FFs after the program was in the wilderness for 30 years. 2 Quote
texcoyote15 Posted 51 minutes ago Author Posted 51 minutes ago I don’t know that there is anything to be learned. It’s just the way it is now. Some of this great incoming freshman class will leave. Every single one of them thinks they are a day one starter and all of them aren’t going to be. What Arch Manning did in football by waiting for his time is very very rare in college sports nowadays. Everyone aren’t going to get the minutes they want. Some aren’t going to like how hard Vic coaches them. You look at the top 5-6 teams in WBB each year, their coaches are hardasses too. I just don’t think you can coach soft and win in any sport anymore. Quote

There is only so much money to go around. 1 Quote

Which should in turn be beneficial in years 2, 3 and 4 – granted they make it that far in today's age. 2 Quote
