Moderators Jeff Howe Posted May 28 Moderators Posted May 28 @Blake Munroe hinted at this initially during our livestream in conjunction with the selection show on Monday. We knew Dylan Volantis wouldn’t start against Holy Cross. The only question was whether Schloss and Max Weiner would go with Harrison or make it a bullpen game. The Longhorns are going with the veteran lefty, who has been better at Disch-Falk than he has on the road. 3 2 Quote
WRNC Posted Thursday at 09:55 PM Posted Thursday at 09:55 PM UCSB RHP Calvin Proskey (0-0, 2.25 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, 28.0 IP) will start on the mound tomorrow against Tarleton State RHP Cort Lowry (2-3, 3.24 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 50.0 IP). Dylan Volantis vs Jackson Flora? Quote
Here for the Wins Posted Thursday at 10:32 PM Posted Thursday at 10:32 PM Smart move. Will it pay off? Quote
horns96 Posted Friday at 02:28 AM Posted Friday at 02:28 AM Is Holy Cross the worst team we've faced all year? It's college baseball, anything can happen, but Holy Cross is < .500 on the year? On the other hand, UCSB might find Tarleton a bit more challenging than they anticipated. Quote
Here for the Wins Posted Friday at 02:47 AM Posted Friday at 02:47 AM (edited) If HC is not the worst team we’ve played, they are very close. Incarnate Word and TAMUCC are the only two with worse RPIs. HC is 201. TAMUCC is 202. UIW is 220. Tarleton is not a strong 3 seed. But, yes they could win. It is possible that we have the most difficult second game draw in the entire tourney. Edited Friday at 02:49 AM by Here for the Wins Quote
