Moderators Gerry Hamilton Posted Tuesday at 04:18 AM Moderators Posted Tuesday at 04:18 AM Spurs took the ball out of Castle’s hands much more tonight than the previous two. super smart adjustment. But hand may have been forced in reality Castle needs to be okay with the player he actually is, and go try to maximize that long term. It will actually make him a better player in the long run Quote
harveycmd Posted Tuesday at 09:06 AM Posted Tuesday at 09:06 AM Castle played well. Spurs guards in general did much better job of penetrating, which helped free Wemby on the roll. Biggest difference is that Wemby finally outplayed KAT, although only 8 rebounds is still rather anemic. Quote

Fox was primary to close out game too That’s the way they need/have to play… Castle will be better if he’s not trying to always force and then turn it over as a primary too much of the time - just not who he is as a player. Castle will be at his best as a tough, strong mentality, hustle player that can attack from wing and make plays being around the ball off the ball. If he isn’t trying to be a team runner decision maker a high % of the time, it will free him up to be the player he should be IMO Quote

Biggest difference was Spurs didn’t turn the ball over last night, especially late to close out the game. Spurs had 8 TO’s last night. Great # against a quality opponent 16, with too many late in game two. Quote

The NBA changed the rules of defense because of Shaq. By the way, it was thirty years ago today that Kobe performed the most famous pre-draft workout in NBA history when he was 17 at the Inglewood YMCA. That evening, Jerry West invited Kobe to dinner at his house. Jerry's wife made Italian food for Kobe and Jerry promised Kobe that the Lakers would acquire him even if he had to trade the whole team while they listened to Soul and Inspiration by the Righteous Brothers. harveycmd Posted Tuesday at 08:41 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:41 PM Kareem threw the 1985 Western Conference Champion trophy in the laundry hamper. Kobe Bryant famously refused to celebrate or touch the Western Conference championship trophy during his career, setting a standard that only the final NBA championship mattered. He and the Los Angeles Lakers did not put on championship hats or shirts for winning the Western Conference Finals, choosing to remain stoic. Quote
Nuufaola Posted Tuesday at 10:41 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:41 PM Rough ight for the Knicks. Wemby was insanely good. Brunson in foul trouble…A real sore point for those that saw it live. The sweep talk was dumb the Knicks were so fast in this game. the game was so late that I think some of the fans ran out of gas. I walked home and ran into a load of thugs. It was not a good look for NYC. I have never seen so many fights and they were ripping jerseys off od SA fans. Any interlopers were pummeled. Quote

f1revo Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I don't care if a coach is only 39, he should know with a 20+ point lead that you slow the pace of the game down and possess the ball. 1 Quote

hookem1014 Posted 59 minutes ago Posted 59 minutes ago (edited) History was made tonight wow. That’s why coaches preach boxing out as the #1 rule even in the youth leagues. Also don’t understand why Fox went up for that layup Edited 58 minutes ago by hookem1014 Quote
akhookem Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago As like-able and generational Wemby is, he does not have the Luka killer instinct🤷🏼♂️not questioning Wemby’s game at all, but you have to step up and put the game on ice. Missing back to back fts in the clutch, zero buckets in the final minutes, no showed. At least get the rebound, something, absolute no showed in crunch time. As like-able he is, can’t ignore it. Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 48 minutes ago Moderators Posted 48 minutes ago I saw Victor Wembenyama on the street after the game and asked him to break a dollar. He only gave me $.75 in return. I asked him for the rest and he said," I don't have a fourth quarter." 2 Quote

Tough series for Wemby, but the Lakers would take Wemby in less than a second for Luka. Quote
