Jim Schlossnagle will be looking for a new Associate Head Coach.

Nolan Cain has left the Longhorns and is returning to College Station to join Michael Earley’s staff.

Cain had a significant role in the recruiting side of things. Now Schloss will be back on the hunt to fill out his staff.

Interesting timing right as the dead period starts and now 2 names are being immediately floated as replacements.  I’m guessing Schloss wasn’t caught off guard.

There has to be more to the story here. He’s heading to a program that has had back-to-back underwhelming seasons and whose coach is on the hot seat.

Just read an article saying he’s going to be one of the highest paid assistants in the country.

And Texas couldn’t match that?
