hookem1014 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I doubt you’ll see Tech or Campbell make any statement regarding this since the ship has sailed regarding him playing at Tech. So much for that fake “we’ll continue to support him no matter what” gimmick. 1 1 Quote

Casey67 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) EDIT: Sorry didn't realize there was already a post about this. Sorsby was the only person to apply for the NFL Supplemental Draft. Therefore, there was no intentions of even having a Supplemental Draft until Sorsby's request came in at the last minute. The NFL said, "Uh............No." This a portion of the letter they sent to him per Yahoo Sports: "Your Petition — filed three business days before the deadline, without any supporting information or documentation, and only after abandoning your recent litigation efforts to avoid NCAA sanctions — does not provide a basis for the League to alter those plans. The issues presented by your Petition are too significant, and too closely tied to the League's core integrity interests, to permit meaningful review within the timeline presented." Casey67 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) How low to do you have to go to violate the NFL's "core integrity interests"?????? Edited 1 hour ago by Casey67 1 Quote

Since he dropped his lawsuit, the restraining order is null and void. He would have to reinstate the lawsuit and request another injunction, I believe. Not sure you can go back to that well twice. The reaction from last time probably poisoned it significantly. Quote

No. He is eligible for the 2027 draft. The NFL’s rejection of his petition was essentially “we want no part of this“ and since he’s not a member of the NFLPA, collective bargaining agreement does not apply. Not really an avenue for successful litigation. On the bright side, I won $20 betting the under on a supplemental draft. Through a friend, of course. 1 Quote
No13Seed Jim Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Sorsby continues to lose as the NFL announced there'll be no supplemental draft in 2026. He's caught in football limbo/purgatory. Wonder if he can get a job at Home Depot, Dick's, Walmart or McD's? Does he have a college degree? Or as a QB coach at TT, where he is so very much loved? My wife said, "he cooked his goose." Quote
