Easton Royal at The Opening check in

Texas 5-star WR commit Easton Royal weighed in at 214.2 pounds at The Opening. 

Not carrying bad weight, but he's pretty close to tap out, of course will look different in college with S&C program

The fact that he weighs that much & is still blazing fast is astounding. I’m sure anywhere between 200-210 lbs in college is ideal.

OV dinners adding up, I’d probably lose a star off of my ranking after enjoying all of the meals from the visits lol

That's where I had envisioned him. Right at 205.

Being that weight in high school and still being able to run 10.2 is crazy. Definitely think devin duverney is perfect physical comparison for easton.

A few track sessions in the Boot will get him to even out lol

 

But in all seriousness, there's a reason why LSU, Florida and Texas have all pitched using Royal out of the backfield in their plans for him.

For reference, that's about 10-14 pounds heavier than what Devin Duvernay played at at Texas.

Stop worrying about his weight.  He will be training and maturing and he will be at his optimal weight and speed, agility, flexibility, the right weight for HIM, and he will kick *** on the 40 acres!

He is built just like Quann Cosby was.  Quann benched 385 in his Sr year too in high school. He and his brother were beast at mart. They gave the defending champ a run for there money in 4th round of playoffs. Which was Celina. They were the defending champ at 2a ball.

Definitely thick for sure. This OV dinners put pounds on everybody except Fakatou . He is down to like 264 or so.

Reading the tea leaves, it seems like Greedy is a likely flip. Royal, I think Texas is going to fight LSU for that one.

I read somewhere else that it’s very likely he is going to flip with Greedy soon.  I hope Sales is really interested!

Eric Henry at Texas 247 said this yesterday. It was more of his feelings from what the other recruits believe what will happen, NOT what Easton Royal is saying. Sark is going to match or exceed anything LSU offer. He want decommit for just money 💰.
