Going back to the 5-1 is good but I don't know why you don't put Ella at setter and move Binney to backline defender. Ella is such a great blocker and server and Binney is a very good defender and a terrible blocker. It's basically a free point every rotation when she has to block the left side.

Blocking isn't the issue....Tempo is

I don’t know why coach is obsessed with trying to run a faster offense.  He won national championships with a slower offense because he has players who are superior and athletic enough to make it work.  The fast tempos are for inferior athletes who need the edge to beat the blocks.  Basically the faster offense is like a spread offense for volleyball.

Elliot screwed up royally in the off-season, This team is a complete mess right now

yep with amazing targets to get in the portal he decided to care more about players feelings. The development has not been the same since erik left

It's back to the drawing board for Elliot, like figure it out before conference.. Idk if he promised Binney something or what but the team just plays better when Ella is in.. No chemistry no connection

If this team makes it to the regional semifinals or better, I will be shocked.  Jerritt Elliott won back-to-back national championships and got complacent.  Mike White won back-to-back national championships and potentially upgraded both his coaching staff and the roster to go win another one.

Losing Eric Sullivan to the National Team hurt a lot.

This is not completely accurate.  The other players on the team were highly rated recruits and are very talented - the big difference is development and system.

Sullivan apparently was the cog in the machine because they just aren’t losing close games, they are getting destroyed in sets by double digits.  That’s not supposed to happen to elite teams when it’s rally scoring.

#1 ranked recruiting classes the last 2 years. Sullivan is definitely missed.

I see that lack of development too but Im not sure if that was Sullivan. The middles position has not been good since asjia left and setter since the team last team with Logan. Theres development issues all around Im just not sure it falls all on sullivan being gone
