They attacked Binney every single time she was blocking on the left. To the point that the commentators were talking about how big an issue having the "undersized" Binney blocking. The concerning part right now is Elliot and the staff are either stubborn or slow to understand the makeup of this team. They better figure this out or this season will be a waste. Any coach worth a salt is going to attack Bonney when she’s front row. That’s pretty much an easy point for the elite hitters they have. It’s what Kentucky did when they beat Texas for the championship a few years ago, they punished setter Jhenna Gabriel because she couldn’t jump high enough to deter the shots. Quote

I love Binney largely because I'm a guy and she is extremely cute but she much better suited as a situational sub then as a full time starter Quote
HookemTexas Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Currently losing to SMU, It's going to be a long season, probably will barely make the tournament and bow out fairly quickly unless they drastically improve. It was a good run. 1 Quote

ChanmanV Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago (edited) Elliot plays Ella for 1/3 of the rotations tonight against SMU and she won most of her point opportunities while Binney was the opposite. Watching teams constantly attack her is getting tiresome. They're going to point to the 2 blocks she had as progress but it really isn't. She doesn't get the height to get tips and stuffs that Ella does. Not to mention the leadership and fire Ella brings to her teammates. We see it on the TV screen. How doesn't he see this? It's taking way too long to see the obvious for Elliot. How many more losses is it going to take? Edited 15 hours ago by ChanmanV 1 Quote

It was a good run. At this rate, we won't make the tournament. We have to figure it out in the next 2-3 weeks or this season will be lost. The SEC is loaded with top teams. We not going to make the tournament with 10+ losses. Edited 15 hours ago by ChanmanV 1 Quote

Bevohorns Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) This year feels like a huge roster mismanagement without using the portal there’s not one setter (qb) that can win the starting position and none of the hitters can get consistent hittable balls. Our hitters played great yesterday and our setter held us back this should have not gone 5 if we had a good setter. If our players aren’t getting developed assistant coaching staff needs changing Edited 13 hours ago by Bevohorns 1 Quote
Califashorn75 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Did we lose an important assistant coach? With the big girl's injury, we are doomed this year. The young girls aren't ready. Quote
AusMOJO Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Is this Volleyballs version of Sark's 2025 season and his roster management? If we're to put it in terms of someone who isn't a huge Volleyball guy. Quote
HookemTexas Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago I haven't been watching, but according to the volleytalk forum, coach is sitting on the bench with a look that he doesn't even want to be there as if he's mailed it in already. The decision to not play Ella Swindle is mind boggling because when she's in the match, they do well. It's not like she wasn't a highly rated recruit. And she was the setter for a national championship. If she's regressed, that's on the coaches. 2 Quote
