Frank Haith, Chris Ogden and Ty Larson have done a tremendous job with leading the roster construction building the 2024-25 team thus far. Haith has a very good feel for offensive talent, and fitting it into a roster.

Two key targets remain at the top of the board right now ...

Brandon Garrison, C, Oklahoma City (Ok.) Del City - *Oklahoma State transfer

Garrison is scheduled to visit Arkansas this weekend. Not the news Texas, OU and OkState were hoping to hear last weekend.

Garrison played in 32 games as a true freshman in 2023-24, including 29 starts. He averaged 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 blocks in his first season. He connected on 57.2% from the field and 64.8% from the foul line.

Note: If Garrison were to choose Oklahoma or stay at Oklahoma State, it would be due to a family closeness requirement.

Rytis Petraitis, F, Arlington (Texas) Oak Ridge - *Air Force transfer

The 6-7, 210 pound offensively skilled forward is likely to decide between Texas and California.

Petraitis took a big step up in 2023-24 for Air Force averaging 15.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists on 48.5% from the field, 34.9% from three (22 makes) and 65.8% from the free throw line. He averaged 12.6 points with 708 points scored in 56 games (36 starts) in two seasons.

Can’t ever let Haith leave.

Can only hope Calapari has a few guys in front of Garrison that he can sign.

Here is where Frank Haith has always been so good ... offensive evaluation.

Just a piece of from a stats perspective (the rest has to come together over time with these guys)

Jordan Pope, Julian Larry, Tramon Mark and Jayson Kent ...

174 of 450 from three in 2023-24 for 38.7%.

429 of 522 from the free throw line in 2023-24 for 82.2%

That dog will hunt. Every player shot 36% or more from three last season, and 78% or better from the FT line.

Something about this portal recruiting seems less harried than a year ago. Hope it produces better results.

Holland and AJ forced Terry to scramble. Definitely better prepared this year.

Assembling a team this year unlike last year when RT was waiting on decision by T Hunter and D. Mitchell to return.
