After Sark's Presser, Expect More of the Same

Expect the same from the offense and special teams moving forward. Short presser, no accountability. Refuses to improve or change. He obviously believes in what he is doing, despite the games showing it isn't working.

So what are you expecting him to say or do? I'm genuinely curious.

He’s frustrated, but has to do these pressers. I understand him being short and vague he’s got to phases that have to get right stat. Let’s go get it this week. Everything still in front of us. One kiss does not define us or our season.

I get being concerned about him being stubborn and sticking to a script that isn’t working when we’ve seen glimpses of things that clearly work. That’s 100% a valid concern, but you guys have to realize coaches aren’t throwing their players under the bus, coordinators, or anyone else on the team. 
 

He didn’t do it against anyone on the defensive side of the ball last year and we saw how that played out after the season was done. I’m pretty sure Ryan Day came out saying the same things about not giving up play-calling duties and what not around the time Ohio State lost to Michigan two years ago. 
 

His answer’s can definitely drive you crazy, don’t get me wrong but at the end of the day any change big or small will never be announced in the usual weekly presser.

They're not gonna throw everything out just because of one loss when you have Florida coming in on Saturday. Idk what you expect him to say or do.

He won't change and unless he does it will be his undoing. Its been basically the same his entire time here. 
 

coach boom is one of my favorites so i love him back, but Coach K wasnt the issue. Sark didnt like his scheme or him likely. I wish someone could do that to Sark.

Well, for one, he should never be talking about the defense needing to create more turnovers or even remotely implying they need to play better. The defense is the reason they're 4-1 this year, while his offense has been declining year after year under his watch.

I said this during the first half ohio state debacle, But i fear sark may have reached his ceiling here in 2023 and 2024

Unfortunately Sark has entered the James Franklin at Penn State territory. I don't know if I fire him as upgrading may be non trivial (not worth eating a buyout just to get Matt Campbell or Mike Elko), but the guy isn't ever going to really get it done here. He is just too arrogant and narcissistic.

Somehow he doesn't really fully process the "adapt or die" motto from Saban. You have to be able to see your own weaknesses and address them.

All coaches are like this, when they win they have long energetic answers. When they loose it’s the short version and on to next week.
