Horn7957 Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago After watching 5 games it seems Sark’s pride is getting the way of reality. I love Arch but he doesn’t seem to be a good fit for his offense. I feel he is trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. This resembles the Vince Young situation back in the day. Mack had to adjust the offense to Vince’s strengths. When he did the offense blossomed and Vince became Vince. Sark needs to swallow his pride and adjust his offense to Arch’s strengths and quit trying to make Arch be someone he is not. 2 Quote

I think he's very smart And works very well out of 10 and 11 personnel. Tremendous athlete with a quick release and great arm. Makes some mistakes but I believe in the kid. I think Sarkisian needs to run better plays. Every player on the offense doesn't look comfortable right now. Always appreciate you and General Grants positive vibes. Let's get to the playoffs! 3 1 Quote

Glass Joe Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Less than 1% of P4 QBs would be successful in Sark’s offense. Arch is not unique in that regard. The sooner we all realize Sark is the problem on offense (and with the lack of discipline across the program), the sooner we can start holding him accountable. 1 Quote

Big Tex Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago 1 hour ago, MBHORNSFAN said: Do we actually know what Arch strengths are? His legs for one. He also has a live arm and can make every throw in the book, albeit not consistently (yet), which forces teams to respect the deep ball especially with our WRs. I would like to see more play action that takes advantage of these two threats, as well as more designed keepers. Quote

Arch looked pretty horrible out of 11 personnel on Saturday. He's even throwing to players in double coverage when there are guys breaking open all over the place. This is even without pressure. It's really hard to tell what he's even seeing out there. He's definitely not ready for the NFL, but I'm not sure you can bring him back either. Would be a massive PR hit if he leaves and has success elsewhere though. Quote

Sark made Mac Jones look like a hero, cmon now. Just because Arch isn’t working doesn’t mean Sark can’t plug QBs in this Scheme. 1 Quote

Kid had 37 TDS vs 7 turnovers last year. They brought in new pieces -- that's on the staff to find the recipe. Can't ask the kid to play hero ball constantly. He can make all the throws. Quote

Mac Jones was a first round pick, as were his RB (N.Harris), three of his OL, and four of his starting WRs (Ruggs, Jeudy, D.Smith, and J.Waddle). And Sark had some guy named Saban in charge of the team’s culture, execution, accountability, staff, made all the game management decisions, and defined the guidelines in which Sark was allowed to run the offense and call the plays. Sark has had at least TWO 5-star QBs on his roster for the last five seasons…yet for some reason the QB position continues to underachieve. What’s the common denominator? 1 1 Quote

Mac Jones was a first round pick because of Sark. Those WRs thrived because of Sark. Sark broke school records at Alabama. Sark was the next man up for when Saban retired. Don’t let your current emotions cloud the truth. We can admit the offense is struggling badly but that doesn’t make him an outright bad coach. 5 Star QBs don’t always hit. Go look at the last 10 Elite 11 classes and see how many are NFL QBs and how many are busts. Ex: Jackson Arnold was a 5 who won the Elite 11 MVP and is at UNLV now. His 3rd School. Michigan QB was #1 overall player, he’s terrible rn. Dante Moore is struggling at Oregon (before injury). Some of you are unreal. 1 Quote
Califashorn75 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Arch needs to go pro and hope he can back up a vet for a few years. There is no point in being in college another year. 1 Quote

Any OC with a pulse runs the 2020 Alabama offense to a NC. What do you think Kiffin, DeBoer, W. Stein, Ryan Day, etc do with that Alabama 2020 offense as OC? They’d produce at least what Sark did as OC. Think through the causality. 1 Quote

Get over it, he’s our coach, and he’s taken us to two semi-finals, which were 1 score games. Sark is better than 95% of coaches in CFP and that’s literally a fact. His record shows it, his results show it. He’s not perfect, but he’s gotten us closer than almost anyone else. Just because he’s not Nick Saban or Kirby, that doesn’t make him a bad coach. Quote
