On3's Pete Nakos has reported that Tramell Jones is expected to start for the Gators this weekend vs. Texas.

Jones had been receiving an uptick in first team reps this week in practice following a shoulder injury having kept Aaron Philo sidelined. Philo injured his shoulder in the 4th quarter of the game vs. South Carolina last Saturday and has been limited.

Currently, Philo is listed as QUESTIONABLE on the injury report, and he has not been declared out for the contest. A final decision is expected to come Saturday morning per Nakos.

Aaron Philo only threw single-digit passes with the second-team offense against the scout team during late-week practice

Don’t care.  The Texas offense needs to play clean and play effectively.  Accomplish that and we’re getting the W irrespective of who they bring out at QB.

He arrived with the team to their hotel tonight. But reading Florida Boards most feel like Nakos article is correct, that Jones will start.

I get it but I don't see Jones as this significant downgrade from Philo because he's not. Florida isn't any less dangerous than we've thought they are and will be more dangerous offensively than they've been all year because they'll finally have a healthy Baugh, Wilson, VB3 & Singleton for the 1st time this year. I'm very worried about tomorrow.

Agree.  It was a close battle.  Philo got the nod due to his experience in the offense at ga tech.  Jones may be a better runner and he has a nice arm.

Most thought we’d stomp them last year as well. That didn’t turn out so well for us. 

I’m more worried about our offense and then Jaden Baugh and VB3 than the QB. Our defense will do their thing but we better score
